This song is from Bangladesh, not India. All musicians and singers are Bangladeshis here. They are singing in three different dialects of Bangla language that originates from - Chittagong state, Sylhet state and Khulna state of Bangladesh. Thank you for reviewing and supporting this song!

I love the fact that you enjoy Bangla music. Just a note, Bangladesh is a separate independent country different from India although the Bangla language is spoken across our borders. There is no Tamil element in this song. Also listen to this song with the subtitles on…. They’re hilarious and makes the listening experience even more fun. The song has three dialects of the Bangla language from three different regions, Chittagong (which the lead singer sings in), Sylhet (Rapper #1) and Khulna (Rapper #2). It talks about the day to day experience of travelling in the local bus affectionately and pejoratively called “Murir tin” which literally means an aluminium container for storing puffed rice (Muri in Bangla). Keep enjoying the music! PS: I’m an Indian from West Bengal and Bangla is my mother tongue although these dialects are very difficult for me to understand

1. There's no relation to Tamil culture in this song, good Sir 2. The Latin style Mandolin tune is not due to the Spanish invasion or anything. The Mandolin player Shuvendu is a genius flamenco-style guitarist, which is not very common among Bangladeshi guitarists. This Latin touch is more of his contribution (I think) or it can be an idea of music director Arnob. Only they can tell what's right 3. I don't know if you noticed there is an English subtitle for the lyric. You would understand the whole scenario they're trynna depict here if you turn the subtitle on. 4. Your effort to sing some parts of the song was really amazing. These local dialects are pretty hard to understand even for common Bangladeshis 5. Take care, Uncle!

@@UNCLEMOMO I mean, it's perfectly alright to get confused while trying to differentiate between Bangladeshi and Indian cultures. As a westerner, I bet they seem all pretty much the same to you. There was a time when I used to get offended when people asked me "Are you from India?" Nowadays, I'm more chill about it, I go like "I would be from India if I time traveled 80 years to the past. But since that is not possible, according to the present timeline I'm from Bangladesh."

Bangladesh is an independent country. The first country in the world where people sacrificed their lives on 21st February,1952 to sustain Bangla as national language when the then Pakistani regime wanted to impose Urdu as national language. UN later adopted the same day as the world language day.

MURIR TIN refers to the biscuit aluminium tin container ,Used to store biscuit and rice puffs etc Muri mean rice puffs So this murir tin , tin container is weak and rusty They named a bus A bus called the Murir Tin holds the stories of people all over a small village in Bangladesh. It stops in almost every part of the village to take and drop off passengers. So the name became Famous on here

The name Murir Tin has double meaning. Muri is "Puffed rice" and Tin means a container made of steel. so Murir Tin is a container where you keep your Puffed Rice. The thing Mithun Chakra was using as a percussion at the beginning of the track is actually a Murir Tin! But it was also a cute name given to a type of colorful local bus back in the 80's and 90s because the conception used to be that they made the body of the bus by literally reforming and putting together lots of Puffed Rice containers and instead of puffed rice it contained passengers. it used to run in different regions of Bangladesh, very slow but packed with people. the bus fare used to be the cheapest. which was why it was very popular among the public. The song is about the things that happen or the conversations that takes place in the bus. no matter where the bus is at, they are the same. unifying the regions. you also see/hear lot of things happening simultaneously both in the song and on the stage, kind of chaotic in nature. the real scenario while you are riding that bus is also the same. i think they absolutely nailed the essence of being a passenger in a Murir Tin. The song here was sung in Bangla but in three different regional dialects. Though it is tough to say these languages are dialects. It seems almost new languages. Even we Bangali had to look at the subtitles to understand the lyrics! The Khulnaiya dialect is little bit close to the standard Bangla. Intro and the hook - Chatgaiyan(Chittagong division), 1st Rap - Sylheti(Sylhet division), 2nd Rap - Khulnaiya(Khulna division). The song in three different dialects also bears a different feel to the people of Bangladesh because it's the month of international mother language day. on 21st February 1952 lots of people gave their lives to protect their mother tongue(Bangla). the government armed forces opened fire on the unarmed public who were protesting against the government for trying to make Urdu the national language where majority of the people in undivided Pakistan spoke Bangla. The song has four perspective, first singer is the passanger who become annoyed with bus and journey, the background vocal is helper who helps people to ride on or off from bus instructs driver about front, 2nd singer (Sylhet guy) is conductor who collects fare and arrange passanger inside the bus and third one (Toufiq) is the bus driver who complaints on road and passanger.... Its typical for us.
