The reason why there was a tiger at the end (if you don't know) was cause this song was inspired by Hoshi since he made a mistake during a concert and said "it's my first time living too.”

He said it was a time where they were doing stuff and stuff in a situation were he suddenly said " it's my first time living too" and woozi got inspired and wrote it a song hehe

woozi - social anxiety, afraid to go outside & meet ppl face2face jeonghan - constant fear of not being enough, always feeling like there's something (of himself) to fix joshua - work stress bcs of the feeling of not fitting in, constantly on the lookout & feeling out of place dokyeom - student stress, doubting himself and finding it hard to concentrate on doing his best seungkwan - loneliness, wishing he had people or friends who call or reach out to him, and feels like he can't find his place in the world and then the tiny issue club, a place where anyone can get together & talk abt their problems, no matter how small they may seem. i saw this explanation on x app and it kinda make sense. also if you saw the poster on shuas part joshua is an assistant manager at work and his coworkers gave him printed “shuakat club” poster “we love how you look at us. keep looking at us like a meerkat and we will love you whatsoever shuakat!” there are lots to take in its very detailed. ps: vernon character is a polar bear/turtle & joshua is a deer

I can explain but it will be long i hope it can help you😊 - woozi : social isolation, life dominated by technology, few human interactions (this is one of the most concerning current issue in s korea right now) the messy room and the robot already saying that in the mv woozi basically lived in social isolation as he felt like “he doesn’t fit in with others” (represented with the puzzle piece that doesn’t match) but then he came to the tissue club, though he came through his robot (bcs it was his issue). as the tissue club aims to “solve” their “youth issue”, woozi also tried to solve his issue by trying to connect with the society “that wasn’t easy but it wasn’t so bad either” and so, you can see him starting to connect with the society, by coming in person to the tissue club, and also meet the grandma in person and bring her the flowers 🥹 - dokyeom : academic (and career) pressure, job seeking struggles it is well known that the academic and career pressures in s korea is crazy. here you can see dk’s book is about “interview strategy” (면접 공략) you ever tried so hard but keep failing, you start to losing yourself over it? that what happened to him. in the test sheet he wrote “rock/stone” (돌). dk can’t understand what he wants to be anymore after struggling to achieve his dreams let’s say that now he’s a rock. with that all his struggles, and his past dreams, he now chooses to let go. dk threw the stone to the river, represents he’s letting go of what restrained him. his “past dreams” (which maybe is his parents dreams? society pressure?). he will let his dreams to “swims” freely. he will now try to find himself without getting restrained by others expectations - seungkwan : anxiety/fear to new people when the phone rings, it says “caller display restriction”. seungkwan didn’t know who was calling him, and seems like he was avoiding people around that time. he wants to run away, and so we can see he ran to his room with a glimpse of nature/field picture in his room, implying how he wanted to escape to somewhere but he can’t in this story, his issue was his “phone”. his “connection” himself. but in the morning his phone turned into gold fish. seungkwan then tried to sell his phone fish (lol) but nobody wants to buy it. goldfish itself represents “opportunity” mostly for personal growth. that’s why it’s like the universe saying to him “the opportunity is yours only” he brings his phone fish everywhere actually showing that he loves his “connections” with people around him. after he joined the tissue club, we can see him popping bubble wraps with green phone icon. seungkwan, overcame his fear to trust people and making “connections” again, even with people he doesn’t know before (with cautiousness, of course) - joshua : workplace burnouts and loneliness another common yet sad issue, that sometimes people get “left out” in their office circles. that’s what happened to shua. he can’t focus on his work could be a sign of burnouts (you can see them work overtime on another scene) instead shua is looking at his coworkers like a meerkat, even came to the tissue club as meerkat. sadly, meerkat usually lives with a company of other meerkats for a healthy life. this, telling us that even in the workplace, it could be a lonely place without work friends he went to dinner alone and got rained before the club. after the tissue club, somebody sent him snacks and umbrella! 🥹 somebody even printed out a message for him, “we love you seeing us like a meerkat” this is a sign that somebody might actually wants to be ur friend, but maybe, we have to be brave to open up first - jeonghan : different live views from others, walking on path that isn’t yours you ever told by the others that “you shouldn’t see the world like this! this is how you see the world”? jeonghan got his eyes checked several times, but no glasses could help him to see clearly, he even fell down while walking wearing his glasses but the moment he joined tissue club, he has no problem in seeing things! this represents how not everyone “glasses” could help you to “see the path you’re taking”. everyone has different view of their world, and sometimes what we need to get a clearer “view” is friends, or society that support you. the tissue club (svt) proves jeonghan that nothing is wrong with him. and so, ad he can see his world clearly with them, he threw his glasses just like dk’s story, jeonghan threw his glasses as a sign of “letting go of his past that restrained him” after dk threw his “old self” (the stone), a light shines behind him. this represents a new hope arises when you take a step forward in order to “change your life”. then it continues with beautiful scenes of vocal unit eating together (represents family and friendship) and fireworks (represents celebration, a new beginning) and so, youth is always about having a “new beginning”. youth, is to be celebrated !🎊🎇 And at last they show the tiger becuz hoshi is the inspiration for this beautiful song 🥹

Really good explanation just like to add that the translation of “youth” means more in Korean it’s more like a period time where you are finding yourself and can extend from late high school all the way to your 40’s. So the song is more like Cheers to finding out who you are❤

Someone commented what I saw on Twitter already but I saw this too and wanted to write it here for u guys. "Joshua has been called a meerkat, since he's always looking around; and I guess he's wondered if he was lovingly called that or not, only to find he has a SHUAKAT fan club. Woozi doesn't like going out and has groceries delivered; so I think it's precious that when he finally faced his fear to go shopping for himself, he gave the grandmother (a tip of the hat to his own grandmother who inspired the Vocal team's first song) a bouquet of chamomiles, which is the official flower of Carats and also represents calming and healing. :) DK never liked school because he said his butt wanted to move too much. As for Seungkwan, he loves his phone and has said he wouldn't be able to live without it. For Jeonghan, he has said he doesn't like getting older as his eyesight is getting bad so each member faced their own fears, came together, and found love in the Tiny Issue Club, or TIssue Club! " I feel like this ties in with the other comment! as always I love your guy's reactions

This are my take about the members scenario: - Jeonghan is scared of what he's seeing (the future), that he doesnt want to acknowledge seeing that "forever is a lie" - he tried to find a prescription glasses but nothing works to improved what he sees, instead when he joined the T(iny) Issue club then he got more clear things to see. Feels like the future looks better around the members, that he just enjoy it and let go of the sunglasses 🤍 - Joshua feels like a meerkat in his office, in a way he always look around but no one seems to care about him. He was drenched in one scene, and at the other scene, he got an umbrella and snack with notes saying "thank you for the umbrella". So I think, he lent his umbrella to someone when he was drenched, and didnt expect to get such appreciation back. Hence, small things makes him happy and feel recognized (even furthermore, turns out there are Shuakat fanclub 🤭 that loves him) - Woozi has social anxiety, he doesnt go out from his room at all (seen at the very first scene, that there's so many delivery trash surrounded him). The way he looks sad with a last piece of puzzle that arent fit in, feels like, that last puzzle was him that doesn't fit with the society. He gets tired of the delivery food tho (when he put down the chicken), so he tried to reach out the outside world thru the screen robot to buy fresh groceries. And it works! with the help of the old woman. So, he feel relieved and less anxious, that he took a brave step to the outside world to thank the old woman personally ☺️ - DK probably was a student trying to get a job (?) maybe he went thru such test so many times. Until that question about what his dream, he write the answer as "Rock". Idk how the rock exactly represents, but it's like a dream of getting first place. He throws the rock to free it from such burden. Is that make sense? 😂 but that's how I feel (funny funfact both jeonghan and dokyeom actually have a pet rock, so it was cute appearance here) - Seungkwan was having busy days, that he gets startled easily with the phone rings/alarms. He ignored it and go to sleep when the phone then turns into a fish. I saw someone said that this fish can also symbolize opportunity (?). He tried to sell it but no ones want to buy it, as this opportunity was only his. So, he then accept and took care of the phone-fish, even trying to practice accepting phone calls by bursting the bubble wrap with that green phone icon. He just gradually hope that the alarms/phone ring sounds does not feel as bad as yesterday 🥰 It was such a relatable song by the lyrics and by every member scenario on the MV, so it's makes me really emotional, until the horanghae comes out 🐯❤ (it's a cute credit as hoshi line inspired woozi to write the song) If you read my long comment until here, hope this day not so bad for you either 🤍

I don't know what the stone actually symbolises. But it's actually a pet rock. Jeonghan and Dokyeom both have a pet rock, named Doljjong and Dodol. Idk which one of those is in the mv

Sometimes when I work, I get a call and I'm scared. I think the fact that Seung-gwan's cell phone became a goldfish also shows Seung-gwan's fear. Joshua's becoming a meerkat seems to indirectly indicate her being wary of her work life. Wooji was afraid to go outside described as Hikikomori.

Woozi inspired by what Hoshi's said before- i don't exactly remember when, but one time he made a mistake and he said " i'm sorry if i made a mistake, it's my first time living too" somekind of like that and Woozi thought that was a great line he took a note from it and here we got Cheers To Youth the tiger as Hoshi at the end of the song! great reaction as always thank you for loving our boys ❤ (sorry for the bad english 😅)

This is a bit long but thank you for reading cause they really put a lot of elements in the MV that are so relatable, Seventeen- or ordinary-persons-wise 😅 SEUNGKWAN is someone who seems to be always on the edge, either cause of constant calls or his alarms. I feel like he's got a lot of deadlines to beat that when his phone fell into the fishtank and turned into a fish, he wanted to get it fixed cause he knows he needed it for his daily life but neither a fisherman nor the Oppo staff accepted to fix it 😅 he then just made it into a pet fish, even showing it to DK (who had a pet rock 😆) and at the end his polaroid said 'I hope the day would come when my noisy alarm is less annoying'. His one way of reducing stress? Popping bubble wrap, which is probably so relatable with a lot of people, including me 😅 WOOZI, who in real life we know is an introvert and doesn't really like going out, has a robot who even does the errands for him, like doing the grocery. But being alone only with his robot friend, he eventually felt like there's a missing piece of him as he was doing the puzzle. He tried to overcome his situation and visited the supermarket himself and gave flowers to the grandma staff, probably a way of thanking her. Somehow it feels to me that it's a way of saying we might rely on AI/robots but having to feel that connection with another person still gives a different, warmer feeling. In his polaroid shot, it said 'My friend who brought me out into the world' talking about his robot friend. AI/technology can be a friend but let's not forget about human relationships too. DOKYEOM is a student who seems to be struggling and coping with stress in his studies and his college life in general. While this is relatable everywhere else, I feel like it's especially true in South Korea where they put value in studying and grades so much that a lot would say, 'Grades isn't everything' . His way of coping is to have a pet rock (who even won a trophy 😆). On his exam paper, he even wrote Dol (rock) instead of the answer 😅 In one scene at the T(iny)ISSUE CLUB, he himself was the rock which what he also probably feels at times, that he is a Dol Meori (rock head) or someone whose head doesn't absorb anything/someone who isn't bright. Incidentally, I came across a video which claims that young people in SoKor now take rocks as pets to cope with stress since rocks are easier to take care of. I'm not sure tho how true this is but the video did include a clip of Jeonghan and his own pet rock, Doljjong, so some say JH was the one who started this trend 😆 Towards the end, we see DK throwing his pet rock away with Jeonghan, probably to symbolize him breaking out of his mindset that he'd never do good with his studies. In his polaroid shot, it said 'With Dolkyeong, who won first place in the idling contest'. 😆 JOSHUA is an office worker who is like a meerkat, cause he seems to be looking at everyone, monitoring them. Turns out, in the note with the umbrella, it said Joshua Daeri-nim (Assistant Manager Joshua) meaning he must be at least a position higher than most of those around him. The reason why he's looking around is either cause he's a supervisor to them or he's anxious of what others might think about him, if he's doing a good job. He seems to be stressed about it that he even dreams about it, falling asleep in his car. Unknowingly, his colleagues actually support him, even having a Shua-kat Club 😆 the note on the umbrella said 'Asst. Manager Joshua, i'm lending you my umbrella' since at the MV's beginning, he's shown to be rained on. He also found a flyer with his photo that said 'We love how you look at us. Keep looking around like a meerkat and we will support you whatsoever, Shua-kat!'. Seems he himself didn't know that he's actually doing great in his job being an assistant manager. In his polaroid shot, it said 'With the Shua-kat Club' 😆 And with JEONGHAN, it seems he's suffering from a physical disability that he feels an inferiority complex about it. But during their T(iny)ISSUES meeting, when he took off his glasses, he actually saw everyone in a different light. I feel like he tends to downplay his capabilities and feel he's not good enough when in fact, he didn't really need the glasses. The board he was reading while wearing the lenses to check his eyesight said FOREVER IS A LIE. In the end, he also threw his glasses away (in another fishtank) and in his polaroid shot, it said 'Look straight at it, without glasses'. I think in a way, it also gives the message that we shouldn't overcomplicate things at times. See them as they are. And ofc, Hoshi's cameo. If you're a Carat, you know even without context that when you see a 🐯 it's no one else but Hoshi 🤣 it just... clicks! 🤣 and it's all because of his quoted line 'Sorry, I'm also living today for the first time' that Woozi got the idea for Cheers To Youth 🥰 He shared that story during their Follow Again concert in Seoul about the time when he apologized to the members of something he said that the members felt was too much. I feel like CHEERS TO YOUTH is the younger sibling of FML... their messages both meant to heal and inspire everyone! ❤️🥰
