Josh escaping Hoshi's tiger agenda for 3 years should be an actual talent because people who don't even know SVT know about him being obsessed with tigers and "Horanghae" and even ppl outside of kpop know "the kpop tiger guy" lmaoo like its so ingrained in who he is as a person, personality and as a performer it's nearly impossible to avoid. Like him being a tiger is basically as well known as SVT being known for being good dancers and having incredible synchronization 😭 Im not trying to say this in a negative way, josh should just know he's done what I thought was the impossible.

Also with Dino, his dad’s a dancer/dance instructor… so Dino grew up in a dance environment (his dad being his mentor). Being a dancer/performer is in his blood 🕺🏻😂 ~Thank you guys for another great reaction. Can’t wait for the vocal team! (Vocals are gonna blow her mind😏)

Another fact about Jun that was not mentioned, Jun worked as an actor since he was 2 years old and stayed in the acting industry for 15 years before becoming a trainee. During those 15 years he received so much praise and recognition for his films. Jun won the Best New Actor Silver at the Hong Kong Film Directors' Guild Awards for his role in the movie 'The Pye-dog" when he was 12 years old, this earned him a second nomination at the 27th Hong Kong Films Awards the next year. He also studied piano from a very young age, and participated in many competitions in which he almost always won. Jun is good in everything he does. ❤❤

Fun fact, Hiphop unit cover Lilili Yabbay for Caratland and Vernon said it's the hardest choreography for him to dance. While *every* member is definitely an all-rounder, skilled and talented, I'll say there's definitely a reason why they're in the units they are in 😅.

Something that's not in the guide about Jun: In 2022, during Be the Sun (their tour) he made a little podcast in Chinese with short episodes. They are all available with English Subs on youtube if you are interested to listen to them and know Jun's Chinese voice. I could listen to him for hours, it's crazy. The podcast is call Moon Tour. Pretty sure you'll have no difficulty finding it❤

1:45 i heard Pledis is known for extensive training, well as we can see the results in Seventeen. i think it's genius that they're divided in units where they specialize but yeah for sure they can all sing very very well like any member can easily be the main vocal on another group. all of them can belt a high note! lol but you have to understand the vocal unit are the vocal unit because they are crazy vocalists i'm pretty sure all the members would agree. Seventeen members are the biggest fans of each other lol also they do unit switch every Caratland so you can see how it would be like if performance unit is the vocal team, vocal team as the hiphop team, etc. you have to check that out as well!

Fun fact, Hoshi is also an introvert too (he insists on this all the time) but you really would think he is at all. S.Coups said in an interview in 2021 that he finds it charming that Hoshi is introverted & shy in his daily life 🥺

Jun was a bias wrecker for a long time but after I saw him in concert, his charisma and dance was off the charts and he joined my bias line. He really will sneak up on you. Duality is real with him.

Backstory on the members' stage names (incl vocal unit) cause it wont rly be explained but you seem curious on it so hey why not! Not gonna mention ones who use their real names cause its self explanatory. S.Coups = S from Seungcheol, Coups from the word coup d'etat which is 'to successfully achieve something difficult'. So something like tying his name to great successes. Hoshi = 'HOrangi SIseon' which means eyes/gaze of a tiger. The company gave him the name (also likely bcs there's another Pledis tiger called Baekho from Nu'est, which means white tiger). Initially he hated the name cause it sounded weird at first which isnt unexpected but it grew on him. In Japanese it meant 'star' too. Woozi = Initially it's derived from 'Uri Jihoon' which meant 'Our Jihoon' since staff liked calling him that as a cute trainee. They sort of make another meaning on top of that like 'talented, precious and charismatic' in case 'uri jihoon' is embarrassing for woozi to explain but he didn't mind it anymore. DK/Dokyeom = abbrieviated from the kr meaning 'to go on many paths'. Funnily enough, 'Dokyeom' was supposed to be for Mingyu initially, while DK had other stage names being considered including 'Yong Pal' meaning powerful vocals of 8 dragons, and that also led to considering a diff ver of YongPal which is The8 (from Dragon8/D8) and 8Light. The8 = Initially considered for DK, but the stage name went to Minghao. But instead of the meaning of Dragon8, it's more so for the chinese lucky number 8 as well as the idea of infinity for his potential. Dino = It was said that it's because 'he will break the stage like one' but he also explained that Dino came from how he was nicknamed 'little giant' before, so that turned to the stage name of Dino. I think the marketing reason is like with woozi where the initial reason is too cute so there's an alternate cooler meaning lol Also about the division of teams; yeah they're just so talented that they can fit anywhere but understandably its all down to how their predebut evaluations go. Woozi and Vernon both were considered for perf team, and Hoshi for vocal team, if im not mistaken, but the teams they got are their specialties and usually they handle the tasks allocated for each specialty (HipHop writing their own raps and technically handle the deeper tone of their music, Vocal team handles harmony n vocal heavy stuff including woozi with producing the songs, Performance handles visuals in creating the choreographies, finetuning details and are usually the members who has to take up more 'roles' in a dance like moving the most for formations)

Jun and Vernon were my bias wrecker after FTB. I swear the camera does not capture do Jun justice. You really need to see him in person. Vernon is so college crush coded. Of course, Dino has a special place in the hearts of Filo Carats. The Philippine Superstar. The Pambansang Maknae ng Pilipinas! No Filo Carat attend a Seventeen concert unless they can sing Dino's part in Snap Shot!

I hope you eventually watch SVT's switch units from Caratland.. like hip hop unit doing the performance and vocal unit songs and vice versa.. I would recommend Back it up (originally by the hip hop unit) by the performance unit.. these kinds of performances show the versatility of each member and how they arent restricted to their units..

It changes with each comeback, concert, going 17 or anything their on bc they are so funny and talented. They all can hit you. In Performace I always love my chinaline the8 and Jun hold special places in my heart. Hoshi is a crazy tiger and dino is so bullied but loved 😂

1:32 fun fact: vocal team members can also rap (e.g. Jeonghan-Super or Seungkwan-Just Do it). That's one of the most popular question when diving into SVT, "why are they divided into 3 subunits if all 13 can do everything?" And people is not that wrong haha 2:37 vocal team members: lead vocalists (Jeonghan, Shua and Woozi) and main vocalists (Seungkwan and DK), performance team members: lead dancers (The8 and Jun) and main dancers (Hoshi and Dino) and hip hop team members: i'm not that sure because they said in an interview that hip hop team members are not divided in any specific way but maybe it's lead rappers (Wonwoo and Mingyu) and main rappers (Coups and Vernon) but I'm not sure 45:53 Dino is an abbreviation of Dinosaur. It was given to him because he was expected to dominate the stage like Dinosaurs dominated their period 1:01:28 As you already know about Dino and The8 here's everyone else: Scoups (Coups himself chose his stage name, the "S" stands for his real name "Sungcheol" and "Coups" refer to the French phrase "coup d'état" which means success), Hoshi (his stage name means "gaze of the tiger" and was made by combining two Korean words: "horangi" (tiger) and "shiseon" (gaze). Also in Japanese, Hoshi means 'star' so he uses both meanings), Woozi (Woozi's stage name came from a phrase that company staff members call him by. His real name is Lee Jihoon and the staff would call him “Uri Jihoon” meaning “our Jihoon” so he condensed this into “Woozi” taking the “U” and the “Ji” from the term. i saw an a few interviews not too long ago where hoshi said he didn't chose his name, he said the company thought soonyoung was too soft of a name so they gave him hoshi and he said the meaning was decided retroactively and that he actually initially didn't like the name because he thought "hoshi-ssi" sounds weird but obviously he's grown to own it haha.

I just want to share with you a fact that you probably didn't know, Woozi was actually given a choice to choose which unit to join, the vocal or the performance team because he is THAT good of a dancer as well. And Scoups essentially trained to be a vocalist that's why he's actually a really good vocalist despite being a main rapper. Furthermore, Seventeen is perhaps the only group where most members are ALL rounders! for example Seungkwan and Dokyeom are main vocals but they're also GREAT dancers. Same goes with Vernon, he's a main rapper but also a BEYOND excellent dancer. which obviously breaks the stereotype of "positions" in kpop (main this can't be really good at that as well) !! but then again this is Seventeen we're talking about. There's even this saying that they're probably one of the very few groups if not the ONLY where you can literally pick ANY member and put him as a center of a dance break and he won't disappoint. And that's 13 of them, mind blowing if you ask me. People succeed for a reason after all.

Hi, i am back. Good reaction, ty. I was about to go to sleep but than spotted this. So had to watch. I really like this guide. Have seen it like 5 times now. =0p I am learning about Seventeen so watching with u is fun. Rock with U is my fav song from them. =0} I like Wonwoo. While Hoshi is a Tiger, Woozi and The 8 are the Anti Tiger against Hoshi’s Tiger agenda. Poor Dino unlike Maknaes in the other groups, but in SEVENTEEN Dino as the Maknae gets teased and bullied a lot by his members. Also I do not know if you guys got a chance, but the Performance Unit watched and reacted with Jun to his CDrama Exclusive Fairy. It is so funny watching Hoshi, Minghao, and Dino fanboying, especially over his kissing scenes. Like he told CARATs on Weverse Live he was prepared to be teased by his members because he is already being teased by CARATs like the happy family we have with SEVENTEEN. Also Performance Unit’s song Lili Yabbay is a fantastic song and the parent song to I Don’t Understand But I Luv from their 10th Mini Album FML.
