Hey Bharath, I think It is your personal choice and I feel you don't even need to explain yourself. For me if I see myself working in Germany for next 5-10 years then I would go for German citizenship simple.

I am genuinely fortunate that my parents wholeheartedly support my decision to move to Germany for my education next year. They understand one simple thing. It's my life, and although I am grateful to them for giving me the best possible education they could, I am ultimately my own person and must face the world alone. I wish more Indian parents understood this and treated their children as a human being rather than as their favourite pet.

@@laughingmedicine1663 Bro....Take step by step decision in life.... Don't scare your parents by saying "you will not comback". How can mother will digest such decisions by her son ?? Your mother is right in her perspective. First, go to Germany for study and work then decide whether you want to settle or not. Your initial priority should be study and getting job. Don't aim for getting citizenship even before going to Germany. Don't think too far. Take small steps. Discuss your small steps with your parents. Then your mother perspective will change eventually in future by looking at your success.

@@laughingmedicine1663 Atleast she's supportive of you studying there so first go there, work hard and land a great job. Show your mom that you're capable of sustaining yourself there and explain to her about how working in Germany will upgrade your life and financial status. If you're going there on loan, chances are that you will have to earn the money back in Euros to pay off the debt, this is quite a rational and fair excuse to stay there longer. Good luck!

Hey Bharat, have been watching your videos for more than a year now. It's been 1 year and 1 month I am in Germany and 8 months into my Working Student job. I am able to manage my finances, save and pay my bills and have a good life. The health care in Germany is free. The education in Germany is free, and because of my job I have barely used my blocked account. I am chilling with my german friends and also preparing for exams at the University and this is EXACTLY the kind of life I wanted when I moved away from India. The struggle, the hustle, the language and culture. I also failed in one of my University modules and changed my university along with my city and Germany was very helpful about it and had no problems with that whatsoever. My seniors at work and just random old people respect me more (Despite being bad at german) than I was respected in India. I have no regrets. No doubt India is great, but there are some things in which Germany is just better. And those things which are better mattered to me. I used to work as a Product Support Engineer in India and somehow people looked at me like " Support?! Who works in Support ?! ". In Germany, no body gives a single damn about what you do and do not judge you based on your profession. No toxic competition. And many other factors. Like I said, I LOVE India, but some things are just terrible in India and you know it too. So, it makes no sense to be super patriotic because you gave up the Indian passport. Nobody gives a damn, do what you like and the rest would follow!

Hi Bharath, I really sympathize with you. The people bashing you for getting German citizenship are either ignorant or just outright fascists. I will be arriving in Germany by the start of next month and although I know the advantage of getting German citizenship and being from the General caste I know the govt exam and its reservation schemes. It is very hard for me to leave my parents behind and given the fact that I cannot get my parents to Germany is a big red flag for me. This is mainly because I am taking care of my grandparents now how are in their 80s and this itself is so hard. Hence I cannot think of leaving my own parents behind to deal with the hardships of post-retirement and old age problems. I do know the loss of not working in Germany and getting citizenship but it's a sacrifice I am willing to make for my parents who have taken care of me for the past 24 years. Nonetheless, Cheers to you mate. I thank you for all the help you've given to the students who are going to Germany for their studies.

Bro, this is something that was inevitable from the day you started speaking about the cons of being in india. Actually , those who are saying these kind of things, are basically brainwashed. But don't worry, if there are so many people against you, remember, there are meny more than them who are with you. As, we all know, there is a famous saying, " Too much Nationalism is a menace " . We might ended up being in Germany or in any other countries, but we are Indian, by birth, by blood. We don't have to shout every now and then to prove it.

Bharat, I support your channel but the way you speak, you seems to be a kind of person who believes that you are the only person who is right and others are always talking bullshit. You should just give your opinion but don't criticize someone else's opinion. In one of your videos u said that after you turn 18, you should not ask opinions of your parents and decide for your self and just let them know about your decision. I agree on one thing, that one should be able to decide for themselves what is good or not but that doesn't mean you should not take advice from them or not follow their suggestions. FYI, I also want to leave India and don't have any problem leaving Indian citizenship. I just don't agree with your opinion sometimes.

Hi Bharat! I understand getting the german citizenship has lots of pros when it comes to setting up a business or buying a property. What if you only have PR, you still can travel around at least within EU. I am asking this because for Germans to visit India they have to apply for e-visa. However in the long run I will also drop my indian citizenship but had this doubt because I don't have any plan on buying any property anytime soon.

Being a migrant, it is also crucial to cast a vote in your resident country, Germany. Ultimately, only you are benefited by casting your valuable vote rather than wasting your vote in India, which you usually skip for most elections.

When you don't know basics of reservation system that's why such words come out of the mouth. From 70 to 75 Years No SC/ ST/ OBC Prime minister, No CJI, No CM of any state even with Affirmative Action System, only so called UPPER CASTE has been on those crucial positions, then why didn't they care about India. The thing is that "Meritorious" people like you leave India and don't care about it and start criticizing the Indian Reservation System. You happily avail quotas for Indians abroad there you don't find 'Merit' an issue. And many of upper caste students have availed the CRORES of Scholarships meant exclusively for SC's And ST's by creating forged caste certificates. Also, the criticism should not be on RESERVATION but on why we are not creating more FREE EDUCATION providing schools, colleges and universities in India like Germany and other European countries for all regardless of CASTE BASED RESERVATION. And people like you have generational advantages over a choice of going abroad. Even, you don't have any issue going abroad because the percentage wise UPPER CASTES are more in overseas territories. So, please do comment on things that you have proper knowledge about.

Those comments are the real reason why our country is still devoleping instead of living in a fake reality or bubble created by politicians they have too see what's happening around the world .we as a whole have to accept our problems and should take steps to solve them instead of bashing anyone with out any reason and calling themselves patriotic a true patriotic is the one who understands the problems and helps in solving the problems

I totally second you Bharat. The people who are commenting do not even vote let alone make India proud. Getting a paperwork of any country doesn’t make us less Indian! Being Indian is so much more. What you are doing makes us all Indians proud because you are representing India responsibly. So many Indians who step out of India end up adopting short cuts to just stay abroad. They neither contribute to India nor to the host country. The one thing we must change is stop commenting or giving advice. It takes courage to start a whole new life in another country and create a mark for oneself. Only the one who dares it understands what it takes!

I would like to gently disagree on the caste reservations, like on a micro and urban level, the lines of castes are very blurred and there is barely any caste based discrimination. But on a macro and rural level most of population living in poverty belongs to sc/st communities. And of course reservations should only be for the economically weaker sections regardless of castes because that's more suited to the current demographic and social reality. BUT caste discrimination is not something that happened to the ancestors, it still happens a lot more than we think it does. In the urban bubbles we think it doesn't exist because no one seems to care about caste, but that is only restricted to the biggest metropolitans. The number of crimes and cruelty against Dalits has only risen in the last few years. Moreover, there is a risk of internalised and latent prejudice when we remove caste or tribe reservations. Reservations are not just about upliftment, it's also about representation, do you think that people who are selecting students of job candidates are so free of prejudice that they would just take the most merited person without even thinking about caste? Let's not forget that majority of families don't accept a marriage outside one's caste. I would again reiterate that economic status should be the criteria for reservation, but indian society is still very prejudiced against sc and st communities.

Some people cherish the unasked good deeds done for them while others just take benefit from others for the time being and then discard other people when no longer needed. I hope i always live up to be in the first category .

That was my point not Bharats. Also there is a big difference in the west and India. In the west people have a bigger life expectation people can get as old as up to 100 years. Thats why we also have so many old age homes. My grandma was working in a old age home all her life and she knows how difficult it is to take care of elders after a certain age 80+ especially when they get dementia. You will have to take care of them 24/7. In India for most people the life expectation is not so old so they never reach the extremely difficult age. My grandma who has been working her whole life their says herself that she wants to go to a old age home at a certain age and we except that. I still believe giving birth to a child is a personal choice and the children don't own you anything and with that mindset i will also raise my children and it is up to them how they handle it without me pressuring them. Because in the end i would love for my children to respect me and to life a happy life without any regrets or without missing out on anything.
