Have you considered mounting a self digging spade on the bottom of the winch box? Then the skid steer will anchor into the ground better when it starts to slide forward during a recovery.

They do the same thing on i70 then go up Douglas pass to avoid the chain laws in Colorado. Cdot leaves a loader there. The land of big rocks, mud like glass, and cliffs that kill

Up in my area of Canada some streets are already put to the spring axle weight restrictions residential streets 65 percent axle weight allowed some are 90 percent and others are no restrictions even with restrictions there’s always the handful that get stuck one tow company the owner has sunk 7-8 trucks like HellBoy here’s the kicker in the same lake

Glad to see your feeling better Rick. What winch are you running on freebird ? 30,000 lb hydraulic Ramsey or warn is my guess. Yep it's a warn I saw the "w" . If the mud gets much worse out there you'll have to put a winch on hot rods 3-wheeler and send rowdy on some recoveries lol.

Oh yeah I’ve paid these recovery bills I’ve called up there they had to do a trans load for us and scrape up the destroyed truck and trailer couple thousand dollars later lmao I’m not complaining it was driver error and the hours of labor they had in the job to rotators rollback skid steer service trucks. Yep driver would’ve been fired on the spot, bet money that company that I am speaking of probably gave the driver a new truck the next day.😅 I miss calling up there getting a good laugh
