Your hair is perfect for pomade reviews. I love the way you show the length being whipped into shape.

Thanks, Ray. Been greasing my hair for a long time now. It has become a way of life. Hope to do some more pomade reviews in the future...and maybe some follow-ups on some of the ones I've reviewed already. Stay tuned and thanks again!

Although I really love old school original pomades like Murray’s and dax. I use Murray’s super light all the time as a topper. But dude I think your missing out on some of the “new school pomades” your talking about. I know there is a few popular makers out there like uppercut deluxe that smell and have a lot of chemicals in them. And of course there are ones with the silly and lame fruity type smells. But dude, there are A LOT of amazing home brew pomade company’s out there. Like lockhart’s, pomp’s not dead, ace high and many others. I highly recommend it. And that suavacito stuff is trash. But with all that said, this was a great video and I really enjoyed it. It was very informative. Definitely gonna give this one, and the small batch 50-50 a try.

Actually, I'm trying some newer school stuff lately. Some of it is cottage stuff from Etsy and others are store products. I'm trying to minimize how much wax and petroleum I'm using on my hair and scalp because I think it is affecting hair growth and quality as well as scalp health. I'm planning to do a video eventually on why you should choose higher quality pomades and ingredients. I've used Lockharts in the past. They make great pomades. Haven't tried PND or Ace High yet. Thanks for the suggestion and the feedback, Gabriel.

So is this just a fragrance & artwork change? I’m curious if there’s any changes in the ingredients but regardless I think this is worth a buy and will be ordering some soon.
@prodigaljess3 жыл бұрын
As best as I can tell, it's primarily a fragrance/artwork change...BUT it DOES feel less gummy and gluelike than regular Murrays. Admittedly, I haven't used regular Murrays in awhile, but it was always just too much. Very hard to comb through initially. The Vintage formula does not seem as gummy or sticky. Much easier to comb through and yet performs awesomely. I recommend trying it. I'd love to know your impressions after you do. Thanks for tuning in. Happy Easter. God bless.

@@prodigaljess I completely understand where your coming from, regular Murray’s is a very heavy pomade so it all depends on the individual if they are gonna end up liking it or trying something new. I recently ordered 2 cans of the vintage edition Murray’s from there main website so I’m just waiting for it to make its way to my address. I’m at the moment using regular Murray’s as a stand alone so by the time the vintage editions comes I can tell right away if there’s a change besides the artwork and fragrance. I am constantly seeing people who are purchasing the vintage edition saying the same exact thing you are said, that there’s a smoother feeling and it goes in a lot better than the regular Murray’s. This made me very interested in trying it for myself and I would be more than glad to come back on here and give you my take on it once it arrives at my house. I hope you along with your family had a wonderful Easter. Wishing all the best and I look forward to giving an update once I’m able to try it 👍🏻

Petrolatum, Mineral Oil and Fragrance. Doesn't get much simpler than that! Thanks for tuning in. Numbers 6 : 24-26.

Jesse Wolf ah ok the recipe changed and I didn’t catch if you were using the old recipe or the new. The new one has the same amount of petrolatum wax but limonene and linalool and Coumarin i think instead of mineral oil. instead of mineral oil. The new one is better honestly. Build up is the same and the hold is the same. The sent is stronger and it shines nicer. Like 3 day build up of the old Murray’s. It has alcohol which worried me but it’s benzyl alcohol so its fine :D
@prodigaljess4 жыл бұрын
@@themanwithtwofirstnames2197 It's the new...but they call it "Vintage Fragrance" so it's probably a little confusing. Where did you find that info on the ingredients? They didn't go into that much detail on the can. Thanks for posting that, btw...

So your saying this is a big different from the original
@prodigaljess2 жыл бұрын
Depends what you mean by "big". I would say it's a noticeable difference. It's still a heavy hold like you'd expect from Murray's, but...IDK...it's less glue-like and gummy. It's more like a manageable heavyweight pomade. And it DEFINITELY smells better.
