I remember my dad always going to Hallets Garage to fuel up on pottery street and the small video rental shop just a few yards along the same road, how times have changed..... Not always necessarily for the better....

It's sad seeing this, I miss the areas gone by. Do have the second half of this video? or any footage f the old market. I miss the old market and COOP the most though. Childhood memories are nice of the area at the time.

No, that was more where Asda is, it was near Pottery/Robinson Street.

@@sirmalus5153 Yes, that's right. The middle ASDA mini roundabout now stands where Pottery Video and Hallets Garage once were, and the Gas Works was directly behind, so that makes sense geographically.

Just finished watchine it... i was born 88, so i was 5 when this was taken... I thought i remembered it well, but after seeing this I realised that i dont! I only really recognised the end shot up begin hill - How lucky were you to get the voicer over done by John Sparks. I can see him now as he speaks standing tall, chin up, rocking forward on to his toes between sentences, as he flick/tilts his head with a smile on his face... Ahhh... Wales ;)

god almighty..great footage,sadly,not so much of market street and the moonraker nightclub.filming the front of that building from that time would have been a great memory.does ANYONE have any film of that street around 1987-90? if you do,would you PLEASE upload it.

they demolished a long standing area,which meant a lot to many people to create a "huge " quadrant.and what happened? a small little avenue of indoor shops,and left most of the place unused for a fucking CAR PARK...
