Back in the mid 90’s, when I was a teenager I used to go to thrift stores to buy books to read. One time I went to the aisle of party and wedding dresses. I was looking through the rack and at a corner of my eye I saw a young meeka (ghost) lady standing next to some of the dresses looking at me. I got so scared and ran away from that aisle to look for my friend who was still in the book aisle. We got out of there and that was the last time I ever step foot in a thrift store. After all these years, I still have chills when I talk about this. Also years ago , my sister told me that she bought some wooden spoon from a thrift store because there were beautiful carved designs on it. She wanted to display it in her house. That night in her dream , an old meeka lady came to her house looking for those spoons. She said those belongs to her and she wanted it back. My sister woke up terrified and threw the spoon away. That was also the last time she shop at thrift stores too.

Back in ph days when hmong pp so into vintages hmong clothing... a hmong lady bought some hmong Chinese dress from online n those dress belong to the dead, chinese pp got them n sold them online. The owner of those dresses came to her house asking for them.... i forgot what she did with them. If she toss them or burn. Lol

That's why I refuse to buy second hand anything or take hand me down from people. You never know who, what, where, and how that thing been, used, and/or attached to. Just be careful buying and taking anything from anyone.

When I was a little girl and we would go get free stuff from a donation center. I remember I got a box of assorted nail polishes. There was this translucent pale pink color that made my nails very pretty. I like it a lot. I had the nail polishes for a couple of days only and it disappeared. I didn't know what happened to them until a couple of years later and I was in my teen that I asked my mom about it and she told me she tossed it out. She said the reason was because she had a dream that an old meka lady came into our house looking for them. She got scared and tossed them out w/out telling me. 😅

nothing wrong buying second hand clothes. it depends on the person who sale them. use should always sale as use, even when you buy nee and never wore them still sale as use. other people need them

It's not just HMONG people who have ghost....its ALL ethnic people!!! This also goes for house hunting...rich/poor people yard sale /old and new things/....some people get attached to their stuffs so when they died they still remember to come looking for it.....happens in all race!!!!

Please do not sell any deceased people’s stuffs in the stores at all. They need to order new stuffs - not those old clothes from people who re-selling it. It’s not so good to mix old to new clothes. Period.

My mom went to the thrift store and bought my daughter a small porcelain doll in a wedding dress with its own stand. Honestly i was freaked out like mom seriously its so creepy. My daughter loved for like only 3 days after that she would leave it in the hallway or laying around places. I asked her why she isn't playing with it she said its mean and evil. I told my husband about what my daughter said. He said f that shit and threw the doll out in the garbage outside. My daughter was like 3 or 4 at that time
