I grew up working out in my Dad's garage with him and his friends. My best friend's family had a welding shop, our Dad's grew up together in our small town. That foundation and working in shops made me who I am today. Your channel has given me motivation to work on the projects I have with my daughters and son. Tonight we got my dad's old 69 C20 running again after sitting for 9 years. We got our 63 Nova SS back on the road last month after being in storage for 20 years. Thank you for the motivation and reminding me why we do what we do, family 🇺🇸

Bill wanted to start with the videos from your channel. I love how the intro music isn’t blasting and that you get the video going right off. Excellent work on the nice touches to the text. As for the content, it’s hard to find good content that isn’t centered on one person or project. The nice thing about The Old Man’s Garage is one never knows what the content will be and what, or who, it will be about. The lettering guy took me back when I was a kid and worked at a Studebaker dealership during my summer vacations from school. The guy that did our bodywork did pinstriping using the same brush in your video. He drank a lot, and his hands shook until he laid that brush down to the car. In closing, I enjoy your interactions with Miss Vicki. People these days need to see marriages that survive the ups and downs that life throws at them. Lord knows you all have had your share.

@@theoldmansgarage you raised your kids. Now embrace the empty nest and get that 64 done for you and Mrs squirly. You are doing g great things and every thing work out in the end. Short story, I'm a boat captain and so was my dad. I got a job as the head captain on a boat and he came on as the pilot under me. At first it was great, as time went on it was miserable. He wanted to do things his way but my way got me the head captain spot so I had to do things my way with some compromise. After a while of it I could not take it anymore and had to change jobs to keep my sanity. We got close again but for a while I avoided him as well. It wasn't hard working under him in the past but once I was the captain, I had to do what I thought was necessary and no matter what ,he give me flack. He is gone now and I'd give anything to work under his guidance again but not him under mine. Best wishes and prayers to you all .

Good morning Bill. Fairly recently power Nation did an early Chevy where they left the patina the turbocharged the six cylinder, but the reason I'm telling you about this is that they had the same issue where they had repairs on the glass lips as well as interior. They went ahead and painted the roof White along with the very back of the cab, and painted the interior also. I just thought maybe you could take a look at that to see the outcome, and possibly help decide which avenue you're going with yours. Absolutely love the channel in the content keep up the great work!!
