FOR THOSE THAT ARE LOOKING FOR HELP: I went and had my labs (blood work) done. Everything came back normal. I have a scheduled appointment with a neurologist 12/20/2021. I’ll update you guys after that. So over a month ago. Under My left eye started twitching. I didn’t think nothing of it, because I do have panic disorder & depression. The twitching around my eye is normal. Even if it does last for a couple weeks: it would always go away. So I didn’t pay it too much attention. However this time is different. It kept twitching, beyond a couple weeks. I kept rubbing. (Probably bothered it even more) started to overly think about it. Then my nose started to twitch, Especially! Especially when I scrunch my nose. That seems to inflame it and make it go crazy. A week passes. And now I started twitching above my eyes (eyebrows) . I should note, my family has planned a trip to Lake Tahoe: which is about a 4 hour drive. I have major anxiety in car rides. I definitely think that’s stressing me out. Which is making me think, “oh man, what if on the way there, I start twitching worse and I need to go to the hospital,” so on and so on. negative thoughts. Anyways back to the twitching. Now I’m twitching ALL OVER my body! My head. Arms. Legs. Behind. Ribs. Back. Chest. Everywhere. They don’t hurt. Except the ones in my head seem to scare me more than the others. Because it feels super uncomfortable. I’ve been trying everything to help. Ultimately I seriously don’t think it’ll stop until after I comeback from our trip. Because as much as I try to block it out. I know subconsciously I’m worried about it. So my breathing is off and a bunch of other emotions. I have a feeling the neurologist is going to pin it on my anxiety. Because my body has done something similar before: I was having really extreme vertigo. I was convinced I had a tumor or something. Pushed for an MRI even after they pleaded with me I was fine. MRI was clean. I still had vertigo, but oddly after I got vaccinated, the vertigo slowly disappeared. Perhaps a placebo effect? Idk. But now I have this twitching. Here’s what I’ve been doing: Buy some sea salt & Salt Substitute or No Salt (potassium) mix 1/4 teaspoon of sea salt and 1/8 Potassium salt into a water bottle. Buy low sodium V8 and add some potassium salt to that and drink it. Epsom salt (magnesium) . I take foot baths with epsom salt and apple cider vinegar diluted with water. I don’t measure just eyeball it. I would do an entire bath full of it. But I only have a shower. Exercise about 30mins a day. I like to go to the park mid day when it’s empty and run some laps and shoot some hoops. Im taking a lot of vitamins, but I feel the most important are Life Force Multiple (no iron) and vitamin D. Also I’m now purposely scrunching my nose even more. Before I would avoid it. But I’m exercising my face so to speak. It tends to help at times. Moving my nose up and down; side to side. Raising my eyebrows. Moving my lips. I look weird doing it, but it calms the twitching sometimes. Sleep!!! This part I struggle with. Because of the twitching it keeps me up. But I notice with less sleep; the more twitching. The more twitching, less sleep. It’s like a cycle. If you have a significant other. Have them massage you before bed. It’ll relax you. If you are single or your partner is tired. Invest in a massage gun or back massager (all body massager): I have both. And they help me sleep: the vibration tends to flood out the twitching. When I wake up. My first thought is, “did the twitching stop” and then bam, a twitch somewhere on my body. Then I’m like, “shoot!” Instant let down. Another day of twitching. But another day to figure it out. Sadly some don’t wake up. Get lab work done. Your blood results could be telling you what your lacking. I had my done. I was happy with my numbers. You don’t want to overly be taking something you don’t need. That could also be damaging. There’s a lot more I could write but I know I’m all over the place. So what I’ll do; is share my IG account handle: Jaredmvp Please feel free to DM me. I’m sure talking about it even for me will help. If you happen to be reading this. You are not alone. And ultimately that’s why I finally decided to write here. Iron sharpens iron. Together we can get through this.

How can you just casually drop ALS like that in the video, it's a rare disease which I've been told the first symptom is muscle weakness not fasciculations. Not cool for someone with health anxiety who's started having twitches.
@peachmelba1000 Жыл бұрын
I agree. That was actually a really cruel thing to do in a video like this. It's not ALS. As you mentioned, there are other symptoms which precede the twitches, and frankly if you're under 75, the odds are microscopic.

I have health anxiety (recovering) and I’ve had muscle twitches on and off for 3 years and I’ve been down the ALS rabbit hole more than once. Firstly twitches are a quite rare symptom of ALS which in itself is extremely rare. So if you’re having muscle twitches chances are about 1 : 2 it’s due to stress and adrenaline depleting you of vitamins and minerals. It’s also due to muscle tension. Muscle twitches due to ALS is somewhere around 1 : 10.000.000.

Yes. Those are some very important points. Thank you for this video. For smokers, nicotine also binds with calcium, very similarly to the way in which caffeine does. Also, there are many forms of magnesium. Well I guess the same is true of most supplements, so if a person needs to resort to a supplement, it might not be a bad idea to check to see what forms are most metabolically available to most people, before investing expensive supplements. edited To correct “auto correct” errors. There have been thousands of reports on developing muscle twitching spasms and cramping after having the covid vaccines so for those that developed these symptoms after having the vaccine validates that was the cause. Doctors will never tell you that the vaccine caused it because of liability. As it turns out we have to find our own helpful suggestions like what's mentioned in this video which will certainly help indeed. 🙏 Sending everyone healing light and love ❤

Not Covid or vaccine related but I suffered from muscle spasms and cramping for years. Eventually I moved to San Francisco and complained to my primary doctor about it and was sent to a neurologist. He did EMG (electromyographic nerve tests) and had me do some random movements. He said I was fine but was suffering from "benign fasciculation syndrome." My father had been suffering from the same symptoms for much longer than I and was having difficulty with his balance, so I knew it wasn't the correct diagnosis. I didn't like that explanation and went back to my doctor. She referred me to a different neurologist that was head of the ALS center at Sutter Health. I gave him my father's neurological testing and he conducted an EMG and many other tests. He had me there for what felt like an entire day. I was eventually diagnosed with Charcot Marie Tooth Type 2. Unfortunately we just know it's an axonal variant but we don't know the specific subtype because whatever my father and I have hasn't been "discovered" yet. Ours is very mild so I can see how some other neurologist's might not pick it up, especially if not in a major city and see all types of cases. So long story short, it very well could be a vitamin/mineral deficiency or other issue related to diet. Or it could be a slowly progressive neuromuscular disease ;-)

I’ve had twitches in both calf muscles and bottom of feet since July 2021. Went to neorologist and did the needle test and the electric test. Nothing. Had bloodwork done and that was clean. Got tested for Lyme and nothing. Even one of my legs would feel weak and my foot. But it’s not clinical weakness. It’s almost been a year and it’s not getting worse but not better either. I take vitamin d and fish oil. I’m on a low carb diet. However, I do have neck pain and I may have a pinched nerve. Got both shots of Moderna and booster. I’m at a loss. I just live with it and hope it goes away someday. Chances of ALS is 1 in 300. You’d know if u have it. You’d lose usage of a limb really fast. If you can walk or run, you don’t have als. Not having enough water because dehydration causes muscle twitches, eliminating drinking coffee for a few months. Avoid taxing your immune system with colds, flu viruses or anything that alters immune function (you know what I'm saying). I think throwing a kitchen sink of plant-based foods (especially if processed such as oils, breads, cereals, tofus, pastas, pastueruzed cheeses and milks) at a muscle twitching problem is not very scientific. Consider multi-directional stretching and perhaps grounding (i.e. walk on some dirt with bare feet). Try to focus and find out which of these is really the problem. If you are always eating different stuff, you will never determine why anything occurs. Also just consider that perhaps, plants are not healthy for you. Meat will absorb better and bone broth is great for calcium. If anybody can prove that alchohol or caffeine are a real problem, I would be surprised, because I do not consume either of these, ever. For example, I eat only fresh beef/lamb with bones and eggs. I do not eat anything processed although I will sometimes buy a red or white cabbage, cut it up, add salt and put it in a jar with water to ferment. I take no medications. I take no supplements. I still get fasciculations (twitches) from time to time and it's usually as I wake up early (i.e. not enough sleep). When I flex my feet, shake my calves, and then walk they disappear. For me they only seem to occur when I am lying down or sitting cross-legged and I have filmed this effect. It's not natural to need to take a bunch of supplements in a diet. Perhaps look at the soil in which they are growing your vegetables and ask questions? Are they killing all the small animals that live on that land? Are they using pesticides and killing all the insects? Are they even using real soil or are they adding only what they think you need in a hydroponics farm? If you are gettiing these a lot and getting a lot of sleep, I bet eating more of that stuff you are eating is not going to help you. Try some real food for a while and it should really not happen. Again, for me, it's sleep, not nutrients as with eating meat, we can have no vitamin or nutrient deficiencies. Cows are fed grass (not grain) so vitamin D levels in the meat should be fine. Breathing? Maybe that's a possibility. I use a hand picked (not powerder) himalayan salt on the meat and eggs, so electrolytes should be fine and no additives in the salt. Not sure, but I'll say that I've eliminated all the complications here and if I sleep well, Perhaps I will try to track this with my oura ring a bit closer and mark any days where it occurs. Hope that info helps. I know many of you can't/won't eat animals, so I provide the info just to say that even if you did, it probably won't help you and adding more supplements to your diets will just polute the oceans with more factory waste and plastics so try getting some more sleep first without changing the diet. For the vitamin D, try using dminder app so you can get your sun naturally rather than with a processed oil that probably isn't helping you at all anyhow since I bet you just need to turn off the devices and get an extra hour of sleep... Good luck.

The point is not that it is all of these. The point is that it could be one of the issues mentioned in the video. Have you considered eating more veggies? It might work.
@jd016653 жыл бұрын
@@HealthAndHomestead Good luck with your veggies. I don't believe in eating them. Plants just want to kill you. Pesticides are created from plants. A cow can be eaten all year around, require no supplmentation or rotation or transport or processing with chemicals to eat or be nutritious. No oils needed to cook it or season it and can even be eaten raw. I'll stick with meat. Thanks anyhow. I'm just pointing out that you are taking a "problem" that isn't a problem and claiming that supplementing will help. It won't. It's not the source of the twitching. Something else to this puzzle. Consider perhaps a hot/cold therapy with your muscles in the shower and stretching. It's better for the planet than ordering bottles of supplements produced in factories.

Anyone can connect twitches with MOLD in home? Mold triggers mast cells with histamine. Some say antihistamines work to cure it and getting rid of mold. My symptoms get MUCH worse , fast when there s high humidity and esp when my fan heater works, spreading mold spores all over the room..... its like INSTANT reaction. The moment i go outside - its stops. Yet, all doctors say its anxiety and nothing else. I sleep perfectly

I (29M) developed and an endless amount of physical symptoms and Anxiety / Panic attacks in April of this year. I have never had these before. Since then the physical symptoms have mostly disappeared and I’ve developed muscle spasms all over my body. My head and arms will even jerk sometimes when I move them. My Jaw has muscle spasms to the point that I’ll hit my teeth together while I’m speaking. I can even force the spasm by blinking hard. The muscle spasms are causing me to freak out and I’ve thought I’ve had every neurological disorder known to man. I had an MRI and an electrical test and everything came back normal. Is anyone else experiencing this? I’m stuck in a constant loop of anxiety and muscle spasms and the anxiety medication isn’t improving the muscle spasms at all. I have no weakness of the muscles and some days are worse than others. If you are experiencing this or know what’s going on with me I would greatly appreciate a response.

I'm new to your channel, and this is my favorite video so far. I might be a second case of that caffeine induced toe/foot/leg cramps. Fortunately i only experience these cramps occasionally. They usually wake me up in the middle of the night with excruciating pain, but lately have started occurring in my toes/foot when pressing on the accelerator in the car. I only drink coffee occasionally, but every time i have a cramp, it's a day or two after drinking coffee or an alcoholic beverage. I think there is a second element at play with my body. I normally have to drink a lot of fluids, herbal tea honey lemon lime, diluted fruit juices and when I do occasionally drink coffee or alcohol, not only are both products dehydrating, but that is one less hydrating drink consumed. So I'm hydrating less, and what i am consuming is a dehydrating substance, leading to lack of sufficient hydration induced cramping. So I think dehydration is contributing to my muscle cramps. After listening to your mention of salt level though, I'm going to watch for correlations there.
