i know this video's old and you might never see this. But wherever you are or are doing or wherever you may be, you better be living the life man. I first saw this cover a couple of years ago going through a depressive/guitar phase and I fell deeper in love with muse after seeing your cover. I was so incredibly inspired by the twist you put on this song to make it 100000 times better than it already is and I've seen your other covers too. Whatever you touch turns into diamonds dude and i remember years ago it broke my heart to see that the tab in the description isn't available anymore but i might be on a level to learn it by ear now. I'm not exaggerating, I would watch this and I would DREAM. No one really makes me do that. just gotta let you know your incredible I hope your doing amazing bro your a true inspiration

hod2tube's covers of muse songs inspired me so heavily 9 years ago when I played guitar, seeing these videos again makes me want to dust off the old Gibson and practice again. The fact that he loved your comment after all these years is awesome too. Truly an inspiration, I'll always remember playing muse songs the "hod2tube way" instead of the normal way. Ahh the nostalgia.

It's mostly arpeggios, with some notes from A minor, and with an underlying pattern that gives an identity to the riff. @Apersonnamedbob actually, his guitar is tuned standard, but he edited the audio so the low E is an A when necessary. Matthew Bellamy plays this on a 7 string guitar with the B string tuned down to A though, so you can tune the E down but the string will be very loose

@PvtZ err, yeah i've seen it played live and i've watched countless videos of it being played live. it is true that matt uses a seven string live (that was originally built for a jazz guitarist who ended up returning it) for citizen erased. however, when he was recording it in the studio, he didn't have that guitar. so he used a 6 string tuned to standard, and replaced his low E with a bass string tuned to A.
