Its actually kinda hilarious yet also saddening to see how little people know of music in general. When you take away all the people that talk about each genre like they're the best ever and nothing else is "Real music" you quickly realize that all music follows the same set of rules, notes, norms and other such things. Music is just an alphabet, Genres and different instruments are Just accents and dialects. So, as long as the instrument you're playing has the same range of notes as the original instrument used for a song, theres usually no reason that song cant be played. Unless the instrument is using a very specific technique that cant be replicated on another instrument. I feel abit sad that music isnt taught atleast to the standard of knowing that, but at the same time it makes stuff like this more mysterious and interesting so maybe its not so bad.

Ethan Donnelly i think the dude was more surprised by how the opening riff could be played so well on a harp, when one might expect it to be very difficult to play on the harp due to the string layout of a harp. People aren’t used to faster tempos on a harp
@ethandonnelly19736 жыл бұрын
@@spartanhoplite3753 SpartanHoplite I'm aware of non musically inclined people being confused by cross instrument riffs, hell even I'm still constantly being blown away by them and I've known it's possible and not even that difficult for years now but even if that is the case, it cuts back to my original point, That it's kinda saddening we're not educated in music to at least the point of knowing how music can cross instrumental gaps. Plug in baby isn't all that fast....It's just a bit higher than 180bpm right?.... So really I just wish it wasn't so shocking at times.
