I used to lament the fact that I discovered Muse 10 years too late, but after reading so many comments about 'original Muse, 'old Muse' and 'early Muse' ad nauseam, I've changed my mind. I'm happy that I can discover their songs in random order, listen to them without bias, and fall in love with all of them. Old Muse, new Muse--whatever. It's all MUSEic to these ears.

actually the best live performance I've ever seen... Bellamy plays the piano like Rachmaninoff himself, sings better than all of the Bee Gees (I mean his falsetto) :-) and if finds time, he plays the guitar in a way Hendrix would be proud of him... The best song of my favourite artist!

The bassline in the chorus is perfect. Fuck, this whole song is extremely well-composed. Muse knows how to mesh drums, bass, piano and guitar better than any other band I know of.

same here. Muse has been my favourite for about 3 years now and no one has come close to taking the throne. Also, I used to only like classic rock and old stuff and be biased against new music, even when it was good. Then I heard Muse, and my biases were gone. I have not heard ANY artist that comes close to the quantity and quality of awesome songs Muse puts out.

Do not underestimate them. It's been a while in the studio and mostly on the road. I saw them in 2004 playing in Providence, RI - USA for 500 people while at he same time they were playing for 5,000 people in Europe.

ahh okay i understand. well i read that the term "space dementia" is used to describe some certain mental condition that astronauts experience whilst in space. if you read the lyrics you can kinda see it relating to that i think. it's not certain that "space dementia" is fictional or not, but matt's the kind of person to analyse a subject like that thoroughly, in his weird and wonderful way and he loves anything "spacey" so i can see him writing about space rather than drugs :P

H8 was the computer in the early manned space shuttles which controled all the conditions that the astronauts needed to stay alive like temperature and oxygen in the air, which is where we get the line: "H8, is the one for me. THEY DID evolve my friend...i agree with you completely that they have always been musicians, but as time progresses and the band has a different feel for music they literally evolve and although the music is somewhat different you can still always tell that muse has a distinct unique sound which is derived from thier older shit...they have just literally evolved thier music! They STILL kick ass!!!! I DO miss the old style alot though
