***** I will be 60 on my next birthday. I grew up with all of the greatest bands from the Beatles to The Who to Pink Floyd to U2, and I think Muse might be the best of all of them. At least right up there with them. David Gilmour and Matt Bellamy are two different styles of guitar, but I enjoy Matt's as much as I ever liked David's, and the Floyd was my main band, bar none. And I think that New Born just might be my favorite rock tune ever. The band is better live than in the studio, too, or at least their interpretation of the song has matured since the original studio version. Truly a fantastic song, and the greatest performance at Wembley since Freddy Mercury and Queen blew them away at Live Aid.

What an awesome band. I grew up in the 'epic' era of rock and metal, the early nineties, and these guys are as good as anyone from that era. They get noticed for the theatrics etc but are quite often overlooked by how good they all are musically. It's not easy to pull of what they do never mind compose it. I'm so glad I had opportunity to watch this band in 2008 on their visit to Jakarta, they've never come back to Jakarta again since then, not yet. I hope they will.
