Awesome just found this - love the direct to the point videos - I am working through your killer leadsheets now as I love that new real book style of lead sheet. All the best with everything, and thanks from Tasmania :)

Thanks... very helpful. I have a question about creating lead sheets within your score... do you implode some relevant info onto a single staff and make a new part... or do you just create a new file and copy/paste? For example.... your bass player doesn't have a melody to work with in your score above... or your piano...

It depends on the chart but I often will include an extra staff on the rhythm section parts which shows the melody. Typically people don't want more information than they need but cues are often helpful

Thanks! Is there a way to get the actual pitches (like in the native clef of the cues)?
@julianbrezon Жыл бұрын
That would be non typical for a drum set part. For pitched cues you would need a different clef, and then you can write the melody normally and change the note heads to small under the properties inspector

When I try this on PC, the switching voices and toggling rhythmic slash notation doesn't quite work... When I toggle rhythmic notation it gets mixed in with the slashes and is very hard to read. How can I get it to look more like regular note-heads/cues just like you did? It's hard to explain here but hopefully you can help :)

Try making a new blank file and following the steps again. It sounds like you may have had something in voice 3 by mistake

@@julianbrezon I ended up getting it to work in the score and found out the issue was mainly happening in the drum part. I just deleted it and tried again which fixed it. Thanks again!

Which step are you having trouble with? This should work on version 3 or 4

@@julianbrezon Nevermind, I fix it, the reason why it was not working it was because I didn't enable the 3 voice
