I used to think that I was the only one who could relate to this song. About how sad my life was. I obtained power and discernment at great personal cost, but it only made me more sad. Today I saw a girl/woman with a crippled leg (most likely due to a birth defect). And I saw how strong she was. And it made me almost burst into tears. My pain is nothing compared to hers. This has been my favourite hymn since I was 12/13 yrs old and I'm now 90. I have a Christian radio station on 24/7 and they play this hymn (not this version) at least once a day. This morning I learned that it was a young teenager who wrote the words as a poem after he gave his life to Christ.
