9:00 That's why when you're in a breakup and you're really taking it hard, it's better to not take advice from friends to heart. Because often times, even though they mean well, friends give bad advice. Now Rudy really thinks that it was his performance in bed that is the problem lol It's best really to consult a therapist, one that is trained. Friends are important to have around as their company is good, but don't listen to their advice too much. Also I like that you picked up on early from the beginning that Rudy might be emotionally not ready to date someone again. That happenes to a lot of people. They get dumped and they think that getting back into dating will magically solve everything but it usually creates more mental health problems if you're not emotionally ready to do it again.

Then he drunkenly responded to that. What she did is more F'd up and she did it waaay more sober. It would have been shitty to do regardless, but to say that to someone who is as messed up emotionally as Rudy is, it's even worse. I'd MUCH rather have someone say oh you don't have the best body type, and ohh going on dates is childlike, what an insult! 😨. She basically said he's nothing, she doesn't like him, and it's only a payback for saving her, AND it was a lie.

Her muttering "the worst" wasn't directed at Rudy iirc and she didn't intend for him to hear it I believe. In Japanese "saiyaku (da)" which roughly means "the worst/disaster" leaves it open to context whether it means "You are" or "This is/was". Rudy seems to interpret it as the former where Sara most likely meant the latter.

She was from a village at the western edge of the Milbotts Region, in the middle of Asura Kingdom. - She became an orphan and was picked up by Suzanne after her family has been killed by monsters - Some more details regarding Notos Greyrat, which controls the Milbotts Region from Sara's negative perspective is skipped - Rudeus tried multiple things with Sara when his thing is not rising up before she gives up and left Rudeus. - This is the first time Rudeus has ever went to red light district. - Soldat states although he has womens in his clan, they have a strict rule of not having relationship between them to avoid fallout of relationship drama within the clan. - Rudeus picks Elise, which resembles Eris the most, including the name and looks. - Elise is actually grateful to Rudeus for healing her "sister" which is one of the backalley orphan - Rudeus contemplates if what Elise says to him is a honest talk or a lip service, that a lot of people felt grateful to Rudeus and will not hesitate to serve and please him if he asked for it. - (Sara's POV) Her whole POV is skipped in Anime - Sara was depressed and she thought that her body is too unattractive for men when Rudeus wasn't getting up when he was with her. She cried out whole night while explaning it to Suzanne. - The next day, they heard that Soldat was dragging Rudeus off to someplace last night and thought he was going to hurt him and went to look for him. - *After Sara calms down, she went to see Elise and gets the full story from her. Elise also defends Rudeus and rebukes Sara on how she leaves him when he needed a support most and told her to leave Rudeus alone.* - Sara became more depressed and thought of apologizing and having a sincere talk with him if she meets him again in the future. Differences from LN - Dating scene is oversimplified over an opening, but I think it should be okay since there are no important stuff in there anyway. - Brothel moments with Elise is simplified - Elise was with Rudeus and Soldat when they encounter Sara and Suzanne - Sara's POV after and leaving Rudeus' room, after slapping Rudeus and it's aftermath with Elise is skipped - Bro moments with Soldat seems simplified although it is there. - Extra chapter regarding Ariel in the Ranoa University of Magic is skipped. Is is possible that this might be shown in future episodes. Self Note - I am very sad that all Sara POV got removed, and she just became a throwaway character in the anime version. - Did not expected them to finish this arc in 3 episodes. I think they just wanted this to get over with as soon as possible to give more room for the next arc. I hope the sacrifice will be worth it. - In my opinion this arc feels very underwhelming when compared to the source. Not sure how anime-only sees it, i hope it was enough for them. I'm not a source reader, but I kinda think it'll be a little while until Rudy and Sylphy end up crossing paths or if Rudy passes by the town the school is in. (I could be wrong though)

They just reunited with Ghislaine, they found out her family is dead, and then right after scene with him realizing Sylphie was alive somewhere is the emotional climax for him and Eris' relationship until they reunite who knows when. fore some extra context and stuff left out They skiped a lot of Sarah's perspective the last few episodes and I dont think we are gonna see it in the anime so hear is what went trough Sarah's mind the last 3 episodes. When she met Rudeus she didn't like his actitud but when he introduced himself she really started to hate him, Rudeus "GREYRAT", like the Notos greyrat of the Milbots Region in Asura, My home village was there and the lords just let it be ravaged by monsters, this kid must be just like them. A rich boy running away from a liffe of luxury and oportunitys, you are not fooling anyone with that shabby Robe, Ive seen your staff it must be worth our entire partty's year earnings 10 fold, we cant trust him every noble who plays Adventurer allways Runs when things get dangerous they are never comited, offcorse they arn't they have their familys to fall back on, they never stop to think many of us dont have that choice whats with that sad backstory about your mom? that has to be fake isn't it? but when their partty was saved from the bears by Rudeus, she still was in denial, He did save them and she was thankfull but thats it, she still wanted to think Rudeus was a Fraud but cudn't think a rational argument for it. she didn't like him but wasn't openlly hostile any more, the more they kept doing mission she started to see what Rudeus cud do and slowlly but shurlly relyed on him a bit more, "he may be a Sad little rich boy but he ain't as bad as Soldat" when Rudeus save her from a Treant she compleatly fell for him Heads over hills, she invited him to the celebrations every time she cud, and started to ask him about his past and familly, she was relived Rudeus was the son of a knight and not a Notos... he is one by blood if not name but Rudeus kept that to himself. She was planing to confess her feelings after she slept with him, dont know why she didn't do it first but wel diferent cultures I guess. when they where about to do it and she notice he wasn't Bricking up she was shocked, and cudn't bring herself to look Rudeus to the face, shame she didn't. She woud have seen he was even more shoked than she was... Sarah is 15 this was her first time and she didn't knew about ED, she just tought her body was't enough to that spiold Noble, how humilliating! she just wanted to get out of there as quickly as posible to protect herself she told Rudeus she onlly was gonna do it to thank him for saving her that was it and that hurt Rudeus even more. She cried and told Suzane what happend and she consoled her, Sarah cryed herself to sleep that night. Rudeus was suposed to acompany them to a missioon that morning but he didn't showed up so Sarah and Suzane went to look for him and found it coming out of the red light disctrict drunk out of his mind talking shit about her body with Soldat and busty whore clinging to his arm, she was livid! they finish the quest for that morning but Sarahs mood was bringing down the partty Thimoty went to talk to her and Suzane and when Sarah noded Suzan told Thimoty about what happend, he told her she may have got something wrong, Sarah reluctantly agree to looke for Rudeus to talk but cudn't find him. She went to the red light disctrict and asked Elise "the prostitute" if she had seen Rudeus, she was't very pleased with how Sarah treated Rudeus and asked her if she wanted to hurt him again, Sarah was confused, Elise procede to explain what ED is and how debastated he was after that experience, Sarah was shocked and told her she didn't knew, she didn't notice, Elise just gave her a cold look. "if you cudnt notice how hurt he was maybe you are not Ready to be with him" Sarah went back to her room and Suzane told her she heard Rudeus leved the Citty with Soldat this morning shud they persue him? Sarah said no and went straight to her Romm and lied down in bed, "At least I woud have liked to apologize"

As a light novel and manga reader, the anime really did this part of the story justice. I'm talking about all the episodes in season 2 thus far. His whole ED journey and depression arc is quite meaningful. The way they portrayed the elf at the end there was really well done, she's a big character much later on.

While Soldat might've said that Eris possibly left Rudy because he was inept in bed, we know this isn't the case. Because at the end of last season Eris (VERY LOUDLY might I add) screamed about how much she actually loves Rudy. The reason she left is because of their difference in strength, she knew how much stronger Rudy was than her and wanted to become his equal before standing by his side. She just worded it really terribly... So at the end of the day her leaving has nothing to do with how he was in bed. Just wanted to clarify that incase that statement by Soldat was taken the wrong way. Because Soldat was just guessing based off of everything Rudy had told him up to that point.

Soldat didn't say it might be because you suck in bed. He said in his experience it's usually something to do with what happened immediately before she leaves. Which isn't wrong, but in Rudy's case that was sex and not the reason at all. I don't think he'd have said it like that if he knew the full circumstances.

How can someone hate this anime? On an objective level this anime is better than the vast majority. Better world building. Better art. Better character development. Clearer in universe rules. The world feels lived in. More memorable subplot characters. More thoughtful storytelling (things are foreshadowed well, ppl and places comeback in to the story or connect to the story when and where it makes sense etc). And more. I can get not liking everything about it but it is objectively one of the best animes. This is coming from someone that doesnt like isekis and doesnt like depressing and cringe loser MCs.

Sara messed up here at the start. She could have tried to communicate as well. They both did something wrong, its understandable, but still wrong. If I stub my toe, and am in pain, then scream at my wife, I am still in the wrong, even if its understandable. If Sara even asked a single question, this may have turned out different. If Rudy would have not yelled into the street, things may have been different. Its just two hurt people trying to cover their hurt pride and emotions by distancing themselves from eachother. Sara thought it was her fault he couldn't perform, so lashed out. Rudy after already feeling abandoned and alone once from sex had it brought RIGHT back into focus when he was already feeling low.

The first season had many more moments where the 18+ label would have had meaning than in the second season. Are only women allowed to have tsundere personalities and men have to suffer or what? I would like to hear what everyone who watches these events thinks? I am of the opinion that Rudeus was completely friendly and not violent with Sara. Let's not forget that Rudeus offered to accompany her to her home and it was Sara who said to go to his place! Her attitude after failure was very unpleasant to watch. We can be glad that Rudeus didn't do something to himself that night! A very emotional episode.

The thing about Mushoku, is that characters look like anime stereotypes, but thats just our perception coloring them and there is (mostly) a regular person beneat it The clearest example is Eris, she looks like a tsundere beating people in anime shenanigans style but she is just very violent and has a horrible reputation because of it Soldat was like that, he looked like a random bully showing up to pick a fight, but _he did meant every word he said,_ and was right on most of it

I can understand her being insecure about that too but that doesnt mean she should walk out and tell him she doesnt like him. And she knows he's been depressed AF. So what he was drunk AF talking shit? He is venting after being abandoned butt ass naked. Flip the roles and see how you feel about it. Depressed girl gets abandoned butt naked after not being able to perform and is told he doesnt like her. Then she is drunk venting about him. My boi Rudy is going through it. Suffering from ED after being traumatized by Eris leaving him, now he's struggling with establishing connection and intimacy with women. Sara thinks he wasn't interested in her body since he couldn't "get it up" (reinforced by hearing him talk about liking Elise's body more). Her embarrassment caused her to protect her feelings by saying it was "out of obligation". That would be interesting if Rudy was "cured" by Elinalise, not sure how Roxy would feel bout that tho 🤣 on another note, Rudy trying to unalive himself was CRAZY, glad Soldat was there 🥺

Man, Mushoku Tensei just has some of the best, most realistic character writing in any fiction out there, quadruply so if we're only counting anime, manga and LN's. Soldat is honestly the perfect example. He initiatially comes of as the stereotypical douchebag that will get his ass humiliated by the MC, but he's just outwardly toxic because he's very empathetic but living in a "MAN IS MAN NO FEELS UNGA BUNGA" society and doesn't know how to deal with it, but he's actually a GENUINELY good and caring person. As soon as Rudeus drops his act he's immediately on his side. What a realistic chad. He could easily be his own MC in a slightly lesser series
