At 12:55 they did cut a bit of dialogue from the LN. Basically hearing the name "Dragon God" sets Badigadi off, and Badi asks Rudy if he fought that man and survived. Rudeus responded yes, then Badi asks Rudeus if he was able to damage the Dragon God, which Rudy also responds yes. That's why Badi has the reaction that's in the anime of "1 blow". He wants to face the same attack that was able to damage Orsted, albeit it barely scratched Orsted

They kind of don't make it super clear unfortunately, but the attack on Badi literally blew off his whole torso. If you watch closely at 14:01 you can tell that it's just the legs and waist that fly back, everything else was just scattered.

13:13 In the LN, Badigagi asked him if he managed to injure the Dragon God, and when Rudeus said his stone cannon scraped Orsted's palm a little, Badigadi requested that Rudeus use that same attack against him. Rudeus most likely had something that would have been more destructive, but Badigadi specifically requested the bullet. Also the good thing about the bullets is all of their power is focused into a single easy to control point and wouldn't injure or kill himself or everyone else around him.

Thats exactly why Rudy said hes not very interested in spells above Saint, cause they are all huge AoE spells that have too much collateral effects, rendering them little to not useful in fights like this. Instead, he would rather modify smaller spells, and this duel is the result.

Reminder The tiers of power in Mushoku Tensei go from Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, Saint, King, Emperor and God those apply to Sword Styles and Magic, but also races with an additional rule that being a Dragon means you are a level above (e.g. Dragon King would be closer to Demon Emperor) Also, there is nothing stopping a race rank to be overshadowed by a skill rank - Demon King can be at the same time a Fire God (Magic) so there is no actual method of determining someone's strength until you fight to the death and they reveal all their abilities and equipment

Yep love your reactions! Just sharing some info you missed in the episode: (not spoilery) Notice the blue haired girl was one of the knocked out Suitors when they introduced Badigadi. If you make the connection, the blue haired girl WAS one of the girl's sylphy was talking about. as for her role in the story well thats to be shown soon ;) when badigadi said Rudy's mana capacity is one of the greatest of the world. He really meant it. considering a Demon Lord like him, who knows more than he lets on, you can trust that fact. Rudy's mana capacity is gonna be a VERY IMPORTANT factor in the story moving forward. in terms of power level and how he uses it eventually. the Beast People Challenging each other is because its Mating Season for em. Linia and Pursena are actually big shots so them having lots of suitors ready to challenge makese sense. because they are literal princesses. Now imagine how Rudy is doing things to them knowing full well they have Royal Status. its a trip! if you didn't know why Elinalise actually accepted Cliff's confession. Just remember Cliff said he will lift her curse. Thats more or less the reason why. as for the curse, I think it will be explained more thoroughly in future eps. wehat the anime missed is that the entire military higher ups and Magic Nation Staff tried to apprehend badigadi after the aftermath of the battle with him and Rudy. its a serious thing that a Demon Lord of all people invaded a university. Also When Badigadi was Hit by Rudy, His torso actually fell off. Rudy actualy cut him in half. as you can see though Badigadi can regenerate himself. He is deemed as the IMMORTAL DEMON KING for a reason. So yes, Rudy ACTUALLY kind of killed him. Badigadi also once said after the blast that "You almost killed me!" so thats proof enough how strong Rudy's attack was. imagine if given the time and prep work, how much damage Rudy can do to the Orsted with his current self?

No other demon has been able to surpass the required power level to get those ranks. You can imagine how strong those two were in their prime although we really haven't seen any of the high ranked demons flex their powers yet.

In the LN, badigadi is actually one of the 7 great powers in that world. I believe hes number 3 "the fighting god".... 1. Technique god (laplace) 2. Dragon god (orstead) 3. Fighting god (badigadi) 4. Demon god (laplace) 5. Death god (randolph marianne) 6. Sword god (Gal Farian) 7. North god (Aleksander Ryback) Laplace (dragon half) created the 7 great powers and as such named himself number 1... Laplaces demon half was more magic-based, and named him as 4th after losing to badigadi.... HOWEVER, it should be noted that the fighting god position is just a magic armor, hence it doesn't change when/if badigadi is defeated. Badigadi was just the last person to use it. Rudy actually makes his own magic armor.

This episode was a little rushed, with some not so important and pretty important stuff skipped. In terms of worldbuilding they skipped the fact that all the northern countries were in major disarray because Badigadi showed up. One of the mightiest immortal Demon Kings (the Immortal part is not for show, Rudy literally splattered Badi's Torso all over the place) Badigadi mentions that only attacks of the emperor tier actually hurt him. He is the real deal. Anyway, countries were trying to get their armies together and during the duel too Vice Principal Jenius asked Rudy to stall Badigadi for as long as possible so the army could arrive. More important than that, they cut out a bit after Rudy mentions being almost killed by Orsted. Badi doesn't only go quiet here. He is shocked someone fought Orsted and lived and furthermore asks if Rudy managed to hurt him. Which he answers truthfully, his stone cannon caused a scratch on Orsted's hand. That's when Badigadi proposes that Rudy uses his strongest attack on him (at least as strong as the attack against Orsted, or stronger if he can). There is also a bunch of other stuff that was technically skipped relating to another character that showed up, but I assume they're doing an OVA for that just like last time.

Badi is a Demon KING, there are multiple demon kings that exist. (Basically just the same as human kings) Kishirika is a Demon Emperor. So Kishirika is higher ranked (and potentially stronger, but before she died in the war and reincarnated as a loli)

That ep had a fair amount of skipped content, some would help a lot to understand whats happening. Like that awesome duel, Badigadi enforced a lot more how absurd it is for Rudy to have fought Orsted and still being alive, even more absurd after asking Rudy if he was able to deal any damage and Rudy saying little, but yes. Then he offered that condition, Rudy remembering the fight with Orsted was so terrified he accepted then, thinking it was the best way for him to not die and, to avoid repeating what happened to Orsted, he really, truly, put everything he could in that Stone Cannon. Then Badigadi saw that power and said it had been better to not fight, cause with that much power, had they both have gone all out, the city would have been destroyed.
