I enjoy very much when you go to areas that have been picked for mushrooms already but you are abled to find all the mushrooms that got missed. Thank you for the fun videos!

You're welcome 😃 This is the best way to learn to pick them. Once you're able to spot the hard ones, the rest is easy. 😉

All the animals love them. In July, I had to compete with the bears. 😃 First time ever in three decades plus foraging, normally just the deers and elks. The grubs were eating the pine mushrooms. Almost all the early July pine had grubs eating them and living beneath the mushrooms. The bears had a combo meal of pine and grubs. The grubs look like milipeds. 🤣

Can I please go mushrooms foraging with you next time? It has always been my dream to do that once in my lifetime. It looks so much fun and I love eating pine mushrooms. My niece, and sister would love to go too. Thank you so much for producing such a wonderful videos and tips.

Which state are you in? I like them full sized but understand out west your patches get uncovered from others. People over the east coast are convincing restaurants that the larger full grown pine mushrooms are worth using.

Washington State. The buttons are highly prized. Some seem to think consuming the spores has health benefits, that's why they pay more for unopened button pine mushrooms. 😃

@@mushroomsforagingadventures are you getting the tan capped matsutake over there besides the white capped variety? I saw on FB people propagating the tan capped out west in California, Oregon and Washington. It was one of those states and cannot recollect which state but I’d swap white capped matsutake mycelium with my brown capped variety if interested. ? I do not see no difference in health or taste with buttons compared to fully mature ones. I’ve been foraging and eating the tan capped variety for 10 yrs. I use organic unrefined coconut oil and sauté until crispy and sprinkle sea salt on them. Then eat them with cold smoked mackerel and use yellow birch wood with that.

😮 what is the difference between a pine and a rusllia (?) Mushroom. Can it be eaten?
@mushroomsforagingadventures6 ай бұрын
These russula in this video, people do eat them. Some like it, and some don't. I eat them, they taste okay to me. 😃
