Mushroom Harvesting Belanglo State Forest, NSW

Waited for the first rains of autumn before we headed out to this pine state forest. This had to be the easiest mushroom forage that we've ever been on. We drove around for a while until we located the shrooms. We stopped and found the motherload with saffron milk caps dominating the harvest and a small amount of slippery jacks also found.

Hey I was there last year April 2023 too! I love looking for the mushrooms with my family every year, so next month I'll probably go back to Belanglo again.

Great work. We also got plenty there this year. I prefer the smaller ones but they are cook up pretty well. Did you see any deer or scat? I almost always do. Amazing how they know when they won't be getting shot at!

Hey mate, appreciate the comments. I didn't see any deer scat this time but yeah where there's no pressure they'll be out and about no worries
