i wonder if the conveyor belt can also be moved up. If not, the mushrooms on the upper floors (i see there are 4 or 5 floors) will fall a greater distance to the conveyor belt, and can be damaged somewhat This machine is somewhere in Netherlands.
@NOOOOOOO0OOOOO9 жыл бұрын
Yes it appears that the conveyor is suspended from the ceiling.

I just love the fact that they used Clubbed to Death for this. It just works so magically.

Can we use this growing place again to grow mushrooms. And how many times can we grow mushrooms on that place

Is it possible to get more than just one harvest from a "bed" of shrooms, or does the whole process need to start from the beginning with new inoculated growing medium? What happens to the spent shroom medium/stumps/roots?
@keukbrokeze8 жыл бұрын
+George T, Yes its possible to get more than just one harvest from a bed.. normally they harvest two times from the same "compost'' but three can also. The remaining residues are removed and they can make mushroom concentrate with it. The old Compost, also known as champost, go to farmers as a soil conditioner.

That's pretty amazing stuff. I hope to take a crack at growing mushrooms for the first time pretty soon. Great video! Very inspiring!

Here because of the Slate article by Shon Arieh-Lerer. I love the juxtaposition of banal industrial food processing with such a Dramatic score.

Tim Hortons That is cheap, here in Australia we pay usually $5-6 per kilo.
@17fryfry9 жыл бұрын
Tim Hortons LOL. Consider the costs: the machinery, the packaging, the labor, gov't licensing and inspections, pesticides, growing medium, cleaning chemicals, hauling it, maintaining outlets to supply, and the overall ambition to do such, you might want to reconsider your estimate. The profit margin on this kind of stuff is actually pretty low.

Seemba Sounds like you get a lot of parasites when growing mushrooms
@uni000ver000sal9 жыл бұрын
audrey l They were in season according to the guy from the Coles commercial. I haven't bought some for while but I reckon they still around $7-8/kilo. Around $5 for the lower grade already packaged and sliced.

Harvesting mushrooms this way is horrible. The mushrooms are bruised and damaged, these mushrooms are only good for canning and are downgraded! In the real mushroom industry (Pennsylvania) mushrooms are separated by size and quality. Which can only be accomplished by a true and dedicated mushroom farm! 🙏🏼

Actually i think use the machine is a little damage the mushrooms, and it needs the mushrooms grow evenly. I have a type of light have the function.
