This band should be playing much larger stages, Shame they didn't get the promotion of Slipknot when they were a band like 6 years before Slipknot.

Left Hook they themself said that they support small alley shows or something like that... just small stages on alleys lol
@Trollz0r.Trololol6 жыл бұрын
While I agree that MRH deserves so much more notoriety, I really prefer them in the stage they are right now. Smaller venues make the shows much more personal with the fans.

Slipknot was barely promoted when they made it big, and Slipknot has much better songs than MRH. Nothing against MRH, Slipknot is just a better band overall.
@biteme43225 жыл бұрын
@@IJustFiguredThisOut I think it's MRH who has better songs. I listened to them all and I like almost all of them, while from SK I like only Psychosocial.

I think that, after Shmotz left, Stitch was the one that had to play keys.... but my theory is that it's because there were too many electronics for 1 person to manage/Stitch isn't good enough at keys (my opinion) lol. Just bear with me... You may notice that, while performing songs from XIII and onwards (especially when there are water drums), they play to a click track to have backing electronic tracks. EX: how else could there be keys on QWERTY/Damage Done this concert while Stitch does Water Drums? And sometimes, there are backing vocal tracks for Jeff as well (and I'm happy to note that he does not do that this concert). When they do pre-XIII, they generally didn't play to a click because those songs weren't recorded to click, and that was when Shmotz came in and when Stitch actually did his electronics because there were no water drums. It was how they had performed the songs since the mid 90s. HOWEVER, notice how Solitaire/Unraveling in this concert starts pretty fast but ends up being pretty slow during the chorus: it's because they put the electronics on backing tracks because Stitch either isn't good enough at keys or there are just too many electronics for 1 person to manage, so they played to a click that didn't change tempo. Also, Before I Die is locked at a slower tempo than they have done before while there are some minute tempo changes in the original recording and earlier performances such as the videos of Ozzfest (2002). *In my opinion*, it kinda sucks the soul out of performances of the older songs and they're now played slower than they have on previous tours and the tempo changes don't occur (though whether or not that's bad definitely is *subjective*; I like the songs being played faster and the tempo changes. It feels mad raw). It's strange that BWOMP of all songs was not arranged to be played to a click at this show. But if you look at shows after Steve replaced Jeff where Bwomp IS performed (2019), they no longer do the several tempo changes that they did before ~2015 because now it's played to a click. The backing tracks arrangement just had to have been done. This doesn't necessarily explain why Bwomp specifically hadn't been arranged in this way for this concert, but this is a reason for why it may not have been. Maybe it felt weird at the time because there were so many natural tempo changes when performed live 2015 and prior. This type of thing had been done before: if you look at the 2013 Rock Hard performance, you'll notice 43 is played at a consistent tempo, there are backing vocal tracks for Jeff, and there are electronic parts that aren't actually played by anyone because Stitch was playing water drums. This is over a year later, but I wanted to post this for you and other Mushroomhead fans to see sort of the ramifications (good and bad) of playing to click for the electronics, Shmotz's departure, the water drums, Stitch not being good enough at keys, etc. Also it sucks that there are shows in the past when there were vocal tracks in the backing track and Jeff was singing under them (and if you don't believe me compare performances from 2010-2015 to this concert). No judgement, I don't know why it happened (voice problems? Skinny's insistence?) and I don't care because he still sung the XX and prior songs raw/put on a great show, but again it's SO nice to hear purely his voice in this concert; he's still got the magic 25 years later.

On this Tour Bwomp was not in the Standard setlist because they had the tracks that feature Jackie. On the European run 2017 where I attended 2 Shows they only performed Bwomp on a few Shows where Jackie couldn't take part.

No hate on MRH. I personally really like them and have seen them live twice. But man, skinny needs to know when to throw in the towel. It’s kinda just sad that he unfortunately can’t play like he used to. Not saying he needs to quit the band. But like maybe take a step back from drumming and become a manager or tour agent? From the beginning of QWERTY, he already sounded tired. Yes this was 6 years ago. But when I saw them last year with the new drummer being the primary, it just felt so much more in rhythms. Once again no hate to him or the band. But if it were me I would make the choice for the greater good for the band
@Lonewolfjay232 ай бұрын
Well I would keep in mind he's been behind the kit since before 1993 so i know he's been having problems with his hip/back so nowadays he's been on the water drums.

Jordan BEVAN that's skinny and he's getting old and has hip problems. He pretty much started the band so he's still in it and owns the rights to it. Second is roberto diablo, skinnys old drum tech that was asked to fill in on the water drums and then eventually drums because skinny needed to have surgery done (if i remember correctly) and halfway through shows they switch because his hips just can't do it for a whole show anymore.
