I'd like to add to what you said. Just because you can shred like a beast, doesn't mean you always should. Dave can shred with the best. Just listen to the old Hatrix albums. He knows when the song demands it and when it doesn't.

i guess he tunes his guitar with A2 being 432 HZ or so. Cuz with my seven guitar, my C# doesn't seem to sound like the one's produced by his.
