In this video Aaron Hilliard of Mushroom Wonderland takes a stroll through the forest with Paul Hill, a fixture in the Facebook ID forums of the Pacific Northwest and member of Puget Sound Mycological Society. Paul is very knowledgeable and is involved in many of the online groups for mushroom ID and for the poison help emergency identification forum on Facebook. He and I met up in Telluride Colorado last summer at the Mushroom Festival.
In this video we take a walk in the Grand Forest on Bainbridge Island at the tail end of one of the longest and driest summers in recent history, and though not a ton of mushrooms were growing wild, we still manage to find and talk about several different species and also have some good talks about foraging, forest safety, and dyeing mushrooms. Kick back and relax and watch a couple of mushroom geeks chop it up in the woods of the PNW.
