Deejay is an amazing performer. He has been on Broadway in Hamilton, and toured with the show extensively. He did Man in the Mirror with Voiceplay, also Bang, Butter, Christmas Don't Be Late, You're My Best Friend, and In My Room. Geoff dropped Song of Durin on Saturday and Voiceplay's next comes out this Friday. Please don't make us wait so long......

I love the jazzy, but also bluesy bits Geoff put into this arrangement. It has such a sexy, smooth groove to it. Great one for you to come back on.

You know, that you heard "good music", when it motivates to play along. 😃 Very nice reaction, great addition with the guitar - and I'm looking forward to see your "catch up" videos to VP and Geoff. 🥰😉

Thanks for the reaction. This is Geoff's arrangement. Geoff dropped his new one on Saturday (Sept. 21st) and it is wonderful. His vocal range showcased more extensively in his solo work always astounds me...every time. VP is releasing a new one this coming Friday (Sept. 27th).

I never noticed before that DJ sings "turn me on," and the bvs sing "turn it on." Makes sense. BTW I love your Beagles shirt. So cute.

That was sooo good! LOVED your guitar harmonies... 🎉😊❤ And it got better and better... please do the new one, coming out next Friday probably... so much fun & theatre!

Layne is the percussion/beatbox gent on the left with a sweet voice a large range. Next is Eli (Ellie) with his rock tenor voice. You were correct with DJ in the center. VP is so great about letting the feature artist shine. Then with the soft soulful voice is Cesar snd then Geoff, the butery bass, on the right. They are all so wonderful. I am always amazed how their voices can stand out and blend so well. You can jazz jam on that guitar so smoothly. Quite a nice addition. ❤

Thank you for your great reaction. Very impressed with the spontaneous guitar work! I get a lot more out of the reactions in the format you used: play through first then the analysis. I have no training so I like the analysis. It helps me understand why I like some songs better than others. This is my new favorite. Although the original was very popular, I just didn’t listen to a lot of pop music at the time so it wasn’t something I listened to much. This one I listen to … a lot.😊

I have missed your VP reaction/analyses. You provide such wonderful insight. Also, loved you picking up the guitar and throwing some blues riffs in there. VP are definitely inspirational.

Nice! Playing the chords on the guitar to illustrate makes it very clear to understand. DeeJay is one of my favorite VoicePlay collaborators because he brings such a playful lightness with his voice and personality.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Geoff's arrangement of this that allows DeeJay to truly shine. DeeJay pulls off being himself with huge MJ flavor and those effortless high notes that just float up into the ether. The tight jazz chords and vocals rich a capella throughout most of it is genius arranging! Eli's solo gives slightly heavier rock vibes while staying in the same tenor space with a richer timbre than DeeJay's light contratenor feel. Cesar is producing many of the 7ths and such that make certain jazz chords so rich and satisfying. I kinda wish he had a bigger moment to step out of the mix too and let his voice offer another flavor, but he's doing such a phenomenal job of being in the middle structure of the chords that unless you have a trained ear, picking his part out is nearly impossible...and that is the point! The BLEND is SO damn perfect! When it builds toward the end and Layne's percussion comes in it pairs so perfectly with Geoff's bass guitar riff. I love that Layne actually is singing such a beautiful baritone before the piece builds to where he comes in with the percussion and Cesar drops to the baritone. Each one of them is delivering their own brand of flirtatious sass throughout this performance and it is SOOO damn sexy! Like another fan said in reaction to this, "It's so smooth it's criminal." I could not agree more! Oh, and I gotta say KUDOS too to the sound engineer! Yeah, he's working with perfection anyway, but the mix is incredible!

That sounds like a winner. Deejay is the center fellow (does musical theatre - Hamilton and more), Cesar (does both baritone and tenor) is beside Geoff, Layne is at the other end and Eli (like jelly) is the tenor 1. There are a lot of both Geoff solos and VoicePlay. Some of my favorites - the goodbye for J None who went into the US Navy for 5 yrs. At least 3 completed. He comes back as often as his leave and VoicePlay's video mesh. That song was Man in the Mirror (Michael Jackson) w/ Deejay, Hellfire, Drunken Sailor, the Hobbit trilogy Geoff solos - Misty Mountains Cold, I See Fire and this week he did Song of Durin, also did Unshaken, Big Iron, Imagine. Now back to VP - Total Eclipse of the Heart, Sleeping in the Cold Below, Black Hole Sun, Classical Chaos, and this week Be Prepared where Geoff plays the villain.

It's so hard just to listen and not join in, right? Love that you felt it too!
