I still remember playing this like 15 years ago. Unlike its successor, this game had a no in game saving option. With certain levels which were vast dying and starting out again was a pain. The invisible sniper was a major snafu moment. Not to mention that "hey you" terror. The moment alarm went off the guards came out of nowhere and then would start the nightmare. Half life may have set standards for FPS but this game impacted FPS on its own. Since its advent FPS genre has gone thorough some major breakthroughs but this game has to be the turning point for those after half life.
