First of all, thank you so much to bring Lucas to your channel. The brazillian community absolutely love this guy. About the time spent to make all this, he start's to work on this single project on the beginning of every year, getting the musics that made sucess along the year on our country. One easter egg on this video is the acoustic guitar on the end (with the credits), is an is a tribute to Marília Mendonça, Brazil's most famous and beloved country singer who unfortunately left us on November 5th in a plane crash. No doubt she was a woman who had everything to be one of the greatest singers in the history of the country, so it was one thing that brought a tear to our eye when we first saw the video. Keep up the good work, i love your reacts!

on the brazilian music segment, someone probably said this in an earlier videos, but most of these songs are Brazilian Funk music. Brazilian Funk, is harmonically and melodically poor in many ways. Inutilismo pretty much makes his own melodies and harmonies for these songs, which is, if you ask me, far more than these songs deserve. Anyway, that's why you'll sometimes find elements from other musical styles on them. That said, it's not like all of them are from Brazilian Funk, some were from musical genres that already had these elements, he merely improved upon them. Thing about the Brazilian Funk though, is that many of these songs, are have depraved lyrics not unlike Hip-Hop with songs like WAP. Just don't try to look for their lyrics and you'll be ok. Sadly that's what is being sold as popular music nowadays in some places in Brazil. Although I suspect he specifically pick those as a joke, because he is still a comedian, and he actually jokes around with Funk songs all the time in his channel.

Hey, I love watching you react to these videos (I will be waiting for the 2022 we've all been expecting) but, I have to say.... I feel like a person loses a lot of the experience by not knowing the Brazilian songs he does. Like... I can see it in your face when you notice how much he is changing the songs in english, but I guarantee you he is doing the same if not even more in portuguese. He kinda transforms many 'funk' songs in heavy metal versions and does some other modifications. Is very awesome to recognize... I do suggest you take a look at the originals to compare, it's facinating. Have to say, it might just be me drooling over my culture, but anyway 😂😂 still think it's worth it.

What’s ABSOLUTELY HILARIOUS 🤣 is that he’s a FREAKIN’ COMEDIAN and is foremost known in BRAZIL 🇧🇷 for that first. I can’t stop 🛑 watching him because he reminds me of my father as an instrumentalist not as a singer. He’s both and does it with some TOP 🔝 LEVEL SKILL. Loved your reaction much more than others! Well done. First, you have a technical background that enhances the experience. Second, we can see you enjoy it as much as we do and for the right reasons, which is feeling all the little details that actually make the songs and video what it is. Most of things that people dont even notice is there, but you know that it makes a world of difference between some mediocre cover and his. And thats what Lucas do best, put his twist on covers and just make it better lol. My reaction is the same "just make him record this songs and don't bother with the originals". I wish he actuallt recorded some of these in full, specially the Lil Mas X song "Industry Baby" and make it sound like its played by System of a Down (go back and check it, you will know what Im talking about hahah). that begining of brazilian songs (He with yellow glass) is a mix of a genre very popular here in Brasil, called "Funk". All drum beat of this part of songs came from this genre. If you search "brazilian funk music", maybe u can understand more of the beat (warning for vulgar videos lol). He love pick songs of this genre and convert to rock/metal.

I've been listening to your reactions since you started doing the Jojo stuff... and I lived in Brazil in the early-mid 2000s... and would stay up late at night listening to everything I could in portugese on the radio till I fell asleep at night (I was still learning at the time, I'm still learning now haha fluent is just something people call you). A lot of the popular music in Brazil recently isn't stuff I am into but there were stations playing some rad stuff back in the 2000s, a lot of stuff like this... and of course EDM / House / club was huge then too. It's really fun to hear this guy and your reactions (I imagine you understand a little of what he is saying) its really cool to hear all this new stuff in portugese along with the english songs he is covering.

The scenery (House in the woods, from 2020) is ideally representing the isolation period of the pandemic. He was isolated from everyone, and the one from 2021 is incorporated with a lab-like thematic, with scientists (He even gets a mock-vaccine in the video). He doesn't use just the top hits of the year to represent it, but everything he's capable of to show what the year was like.
