This theme represents this character (almost every theme in the series do so). Most of It is calm, as the character, Who only wants to live a quiet Life without trouble. When the drop enters, represents when he attacks, quick and deadly, no clue left. Then quickly turns back to the calm theme of the begining, to his calm Life without problems.

"Killer" is the theme of Yoshikage Kira, a man who wants to live a quiet life and cannot stand interruptions to this, and when he attacks he is quick, and deadly, leaving nothing left of his victims. Yoshikage Kira is supposed to be seen as a normal man, who works a normal job, who has a normal life, and has many background appearances around 15 episodes before he is properly introduced because he fits into the background so well. He is easily my personal favorite Villain from the (so far) animated parts, excluding part 7 where Funny Valentine is introduced.

this ost is supposed to sound like a cat stalking its prey and finally pouncing. to me, the staccato piano has this sort of calm yet ominous feel to it, kind of like a sneaky curiosity. and i can feel the build up of the strings, flute, and woodwind in my chest and it makes it that much more enjoyable to listen to. definitely one of my favorites!

To me the song perfectly represents part 4 as a whole. Morioh almost has this creepy aura surrounding it. Most of the time it’s pretty laid back, but there is always the feeling of danger lurking around, and it has blended with its population. And the part where the music suddenly becomes loud would represent when catastrophic things happen like kira’s nails growing.

This piece is very interesting because most important characters have multiple themes - a theme for casual activities, a theme for battle, a theme for when they have their main character moment where they pull something out their ass and unexpectedly defeat the enemy, which is usually considered their main theme. However, the villains have ambient themes/leitmotifs that play whenever they show up because of how menacing they are, and those are usually considered their main themes. This theme is so subtle and quiet because - without giving too much information - Kira is a serial killer who is quiet and sneaky, and this theme is meant to unsettle you more than scare you. He has many other themes that are way more energetic and creepy that are used for when he fights, such as Another Face Same Mind, First Bomb, Second Bomb, Third Bomb. If you want to hear more unsettling villain themes I recommend Diavolo's Theme, which has some really interesting time signatures as well as a menacing organ.

Kira's theme is modeled after a cat hunting its prey. It's all aloof, until it spots the prey. It wabbles its little butt ready to pounce. Then, BOOM. 4:40 The cat pounces on the prey and they wrestle. Then, once the prey is subdued, it's heart beat pattering up until it stops... It's back to aloof. This is how Kira kills. That's why Killer Queen looks like a cat. He acts all passive-like until he pounces.

I absolutely love this theme. This theme is perfect for the smooth, calm serial killer that is Yoshikage Kira. The quiet, calm, relaxing, resembling his desire of a calm, quiet life. Yet, at the same time, you can sense that something is off. Then, it happens. The *explosion* of music, resembling his explosive power, destroying whatever it is that is interrupting his quiet life, and leaving behind no evidence that it even existed. Then, it returns to the calm, yet now sinister music, as he brushes off whatever he just destroyed and returns to his quiet, calm life, keeping his secret hidden. My favorite theme in all of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure.

Kira's theme is perfectly representative of both his character and behavior, and even embodies the abilities of his Stand, Killer Queen. Kira is the 'gentleman serial killer' type. Behaviorally, he's calm, composed, quiet, polite, etc. The sort of person who just wants a quiet life with no bumps in the road. Underneath that, however, he's a cold, calculating, psychopathic murderer, who stalks women and steals their hands after killing them. He never really breaks his composure, even when killing people; he transitions frighteningly smoothly from calmly speaking to someone, to killing them using his Stand. He obliterates people from existence as casually as shaking their hand. (Well... maybe that's a bad example for Kira specifically, given his... personal interests. But you get the idea.) His theme even represents the nature of his Stand. Killer Queen's primary ability can turn anything he touches into a bomb, which he can detonate at any time, and there is absolutely no sign something is a bomb until it explodes. Like his theme, it's calm and unassuming, until out of nowhere it explodes with no warning, and then settles right back into calm like nothing happened. Really, really fantastic design in every way.

You really should react to the Jojo's villain themes, they fit their characters way more than the protagonist themes (which makes them more specific and less song-like). Some of them are really funny and weird, but still unique and iconic, like the Pillarmen theme

Kira is such a well written villain. A calm, hidden serial killer with a messed up mindset, who just wishes to live a quiet life. Then- at a moment, when his desire to kill comes up- he totally changes to the cruel, fricked up person he really is, kills, leaves no traces, and comes back to his calm self. It's such a normal theme that almost nothing seems weird, just creepy, for some reason.

Part 6 of the Jojo's official soundtrack hasn't released yet, but it should sometime this month I believe. When it does, theres so many good themes from there id reccomend you to try. Id start with Jolyne's theme and Pucci's theme. Just put those names in your head for the time being.

So with the villain songs in Jojo, they are mostly used to introduce the villain. Since all of the villain themes are ominous and sinister, they almost give a feel of hopelessness especially Kira, who is not the greatest of people. You also hear this music one you find out what the villain's cool ability is and this also fits Kira extremely well. Just to let you know that non-stand users cannot see or hear the actual effect. I would recommend listening to Diavolo's theme it's great! :)

To your question what this character is about: Spoiler if you like: Kira is a vilain, a serial killer who try to be the most normal guy ever, basic, kinda like Patrick Bateman in American Psycho, but because of his powers, other of the Jojo's world always find him. Not sure if we could call him sociopath or psychopath ? His theme fits so much cause it feel like a guy taking a stroll and try to be normal while being insanely creepy.

Every season of JoJo's feels like a completely different show. Part 1 feels like a classic heroes Adventure set in England. Part 2 feels like a supernatural World War II era period adventure. Part 3 is a globe spanning Adventure that goes all over the place. Part 4 is an intimate mystery within one town. Part 5 is a crime Thriller involving the internal politics of the Italian mafia. Every setting is so unique that the show just feels completely different every season. There's also a new protagonist every season

This theme fits Kira perfectly and kind of tells a story that has defenitely happened multiple times in Kira's life (slight spoiler for part 4 but it's not really anything you wouldn't expect): the whole song is trying to lock you into this sense of safeness and slight dread but nothing major happens so you think that's going to be the whole way and then BOOM - the intense violins, having it sound like some horrible accident has happened or a huge tragedy which makes everyone shocked but this is only for a few seconds until this goes back into the same tempo that we were used to and everyone forgets about what just happened and moves on with their life

this is probably the most fitting theme for a character, because the song itself is the character in music form, calm and collected at first, but still makes you feel uneasy, as if there's something you're missing, or that there's a darker and more sinister motive behind it, and then out of nowhere it shows it's true colors and lashes out at you violently, and then goes back to calm and collected, as if nothing happened, that is the character, and that is the song, both explained in the same explanation, and that's what makes this song so fitting for him

When you check out JoJo make sure to watch the Sub, watching the Dub means that you'll end up missing a ton of music references, the author of the manga is super into American music but a lot of names have to be changed in the English dub for copyright reasons, the subs still say the copyright-free names but you can make out what the original names are from the actual Japanese voiced

i don’t know if anyone has commented this before, but i thought i’d mention how cool the outros are. all of the outros are western songs. for example, part 1 outro is “Roundabout” by Yes, part 3 outro is “Walk Like an Egyptian” by The Bangles, part 4 outro is “I Want You” by Savage Garden, and so on. jojos has got to be my favorite anime, and all of these musical references really make it stand out.

I agree with what you said, this theme is very theatrical. While listening to it you can see a lone character just wondering on the theater set, minding his business and sort of understanding that there's a crowd watching him. It's deceives you with it's everydayish, almost comical sound and then it just suddenly turns into this grandiose and almost nightmarish music, like you stepped on the characters toes and he dramatically pulls out a weapon. It also reminds me of Fargo the TV series, it also has this black comedy type of music.
