Shanker ji (SJ) always used to respect the singers/lyricists and all others assoiciated with their films. It was unfortunate that some vested interests used to malign Shanker ji to push their agenda.

Shankar Jaikishan on one hand had strong bonding with stalwarts like of Rafi and Lata, they gave opportunities to all othet singers including Talat Mahmood, Subeer Sen, Suman Kalyanpur and most importantly a number of hits to Manna Dey (such a gem was ignored by other composers)

Interesting how Shankar states that this song was recorded in 1947. Aag had been released in 1948 and Im assuming Barsaat started after that. Shankar probably meant 1948

Love you RAFI SAHAB❤ Shankar ji ke sath is budhe rajkapoor ne bahut dhoka kiya. Shankar Jaikishan ki kitni dhume is ne Bobby, satyam shivam sundram, Ram Teri ganga malli, dharam karam, Prem Rog, aur bhi kitni filmo main use Kiya.

I don't see any possibility of improving relations with Pakistan unless Pakistan respects minorities living in that country. Persecution and pillaging done by Pakistani Muslims on Hindus must be compensated adequately. Improved relations with Pakistan looks highly unlikely.
