Since peace between the two Zenith kingdoms has been attained, and the war between them was the whole point of the story, shouldn't it all be over? After Vanaheim, I wonder where we'll be going... is Ragnarök really gonna be a part of the story?...

Because it doesn't sound good. It'd be perfectly acceptable to have lyrics, as pointless as they are, if they added something to the song. I think it only detracts from the theme myself. Opinions vary of course.

Since Alfonse isn't commander, he probably is not used to acutal combat, or war for the matter, since he was a prince that was sheltered. His sister is more experienced.
