I'm from the UK and first went to Bulgaria in 1991. I still have the gadoulka, tamboura and kaval that I bought from a guy living in a small, remote farmstead in the SE. And another guy I met there in Plovdiv, we climbed Musala and other areas in the SW area. It was early May, and if it wasn't for a remote highland shack we found there during a sudden hailstorm (equiped with beds, thick blankets and rakia) we would have died there! I've been back 5 times since. I will always love Bulgaria and their culture. I've been to about 35 different countries... Bulgaria will always have a very special place in my heart.

@@bgbest5790 What you are saying is just not true. Original Bulgarians were turks(they did not exist thousads years ago) but then they got assimilated by slavs, which lived in the balkan area before them. So nowadays bulgarians are a mixture of both.
@bgbest57902 жыл бұрын
@@stickystick1048 What YOU are saying is not true. Bulgars being Turkic has been disproven so many times. They even took ancient/Proto-Bulgarian dna remains and studied them and all the results say 0% Turkic and Altaic. Even the bulgars in Italy from 500 AD were never Turkic and never spoke Turkic Bulgarian is NOT A SLAVIC LANGUAGE, there is no such thing as Slavic languages. Bulgarian language originates from the Balkans. Indo-European and Proto-indo european languages originate from the Black Sea area which is Bulgaria, Anatolia, etc. There is much proof of the Bulgarian language originating from the Thracian and actually, Thracians were in fact Bulgarians. DNA and ancient Roman writings say this. There is no such thing as Slavic migration or Slavic dna, no such people have ever existed and not once in history have they ever found Proto-Slavic remains or even Slavic DNA. The word Slav is of Latin origin and the Slavic language group and identity were created after the 12 century by guess who? Russians and Greeks. No one before the 12th century called themself a Slav. The word itself is of Latin Slavus/sclavus which means “slave” in Latin. Maybe you should read real history and not bs on Wikipedia :) All the lands you call Slavic were inhabited by Thracian tribes. Bulgarian language spread to people that today are labeled Slavs in ancient times and in the 9th century along with the Bulgarian alphabet also known Cyrillic, not to mention Cyrillic and glagoltic are alphabets based on Proto-Bulgarian alphabet and runes and symbols. Even Russian is based off of old Bulgarian and the original language of Russia is Uralic, not a indo-European Bulgarian based language that they speak today along with the other people that are called “slavs”. Let’s not forget countries such as Ukraine and Poland back then were inhabited by Avars, Scythians, Thracian (Bulgarian), Germanic, Baltic, and Celtic tribes that all spoke their own unique languages that are far different except for the Thracian part) than the today so called Ukrainian or polish language & those people I listed make up their Polish, Russian, and Ukrainian identity today, same with other countries labeled Slavic that are located outside of the Balkans. THRACIANS, BULGARIANS, BULGARS are all same people. Compare the DNA, culture, traditions, artifacts, beliefs, looks, language, etc with each other, all exactly the same.

Bulgaria looks like a cool nation. A country with the flag's bright colors of white, green and red. The coat of arms in bold with the golden lions guarding the crest and the Cyrillic writing. May God bless Bulgaria. Greetings from the USA!

In the very beginning of time God created all & it was good, His plan was to have Him & His creation live in utopia. the satan deceived God’s creation so that wouldn’t happen, we choose evil. Evil has its consequences, death & hell separation from God for eternity is the consequence for disobeying an everlasting God. God doesn’t want that for any of His creation so He sent His Son Jesus(God in the flesh) & Jesus lived the perfect life. Died the death as a criminal, & resurrected, all so that we could have eternal life if we have faith in His beautiful sacrifice. This is God’s plan!

Здрабейте. Hello from Genoa, Northern Italy. I have lived between Genoa and Sofia for 11 years so far....and..what to say. Maybe among all of the things I adore of this great country is their warm people and their music. A small country with a huge production of folk music, even old remakes of very ancient music. And everybody loves it..in the festivals in the restaurants. MAlka Moma i Ludo Mlado my favorites in this collection. Bulgaria I love you. България аз те обичам :*

Wait a minute! I find it quite surprising that you never heard Bulgarian songs before even though your countries border. Don't they show music from neighboring countries in Romanian TV? In Turkey they don't but that's because we are from different religions and Bulgarians have attitude towards Turkish. But Romanians and Bulgarians are same religion. One would expect that they are familiar with each other's cultures.
This is music I searched for years!! Now i found it finally. Its so beautiful. Much love from Germany
