Music for Work - Artificial Intelligence Mix

Can robots replace humans in music production and when is it gonna happen?
Answering this question is no easy task. No one can know for certain, what will occur and what will be created. Modern technologies and latest developments show us that making music will become increasingly computer-based and AI-driven, and lastly, it may serve as a window to the past, held open by any musicians continuing to create music in more traditional ways.
AI, or artificial intelligence, has been part of popular discussion since the 1980s, but only recently has it started to look like an actual possibility. Deep learning is a part of machine learning where AI mimics how humans think. It creates patterns based on data and information it receives from the internet. AI uses resources like social media and search engines such as Google and KZbin to learn music history and different songs. AI then uses the information it learns to distinguish patterns, tempos, and notes to create its own melodies.
But we hope Artificial Intelligent composers will not take over an artists' job. However, it will shape the world with the expansion of creating new music and evolving life.
Even if the Future Garage has nothing to do with the future itself, we are still free to imagine the sounds and beats that A.I. may use as a pattern for producing its own tracks.
GENRE: FUTURE GARAGE (also known as Nu-Garage, Post-Garage, Space Garage, Minimal Garage, Atmospheric Garage) is a genre of electronic music that incorporates a variety of influences from UK garage and softer elements from 2-step garage, leading to an off-kilter rhythmic style. Characteristic sounds are pitched vocal chops, warm filtered reese basses, dark atmospheres (including synth pads, field recordings and other atmospheric sounds) and vinyl crackles. The tempo usually ranges from 130 to 140 bpm, but can also be slower or faster.

Back in the late 70s and early 80s -- a radio station on FM before FM was cool. KPFK (LA) was an alternative music/talk/eclectic station to listen to -- usually, after 12am. Maybe a fellow viewer, or fellows at Music Lab can help me out: This is the first time I've seen "Nu" used other than Nu Metal. What defines "Nu" as a genre descriptor? I know with Nu Metal, it further defines Metal by having less soloing, relying more heavily on syncopated guitar riffs, and incorporates elements of hip-hop like rapping and sampling (among a some other features, but these appear to me as the biggest defining feature of Nu Metal). What makes Nu Garage? I'd love to hear anyone's opinion.

I believe in the context, "Nu" is another way of just explaining something "new," same with "post." Something would be "post garage" when it couldn't have existed without some sort of influence from garage itself. "Nu" will be taken on as a way to call something a newer version of it's evolved self. "Space garage" hinting that this is a futuristic take on what garage can turn into. Now.. what would actually define this as "Nu" in regards to regular garage.. they do a good job with answering your question in the bio :p

Rollie Pollie's answer is already great. I would like to add, that the first time I stumbled upon the term was with New Wave. That didn't refer to any Wave music before it, but to the french cinema of the early seventies, called nouvell vague. What actually happened back then was filmmakers using the medium with all its available techniques to express different things than it was used to before, creating nu aesthetics in a nu time, that needed something different than love stories, westerns or James Bond. New Wave regarded itself in a similar way, mixing punk discipline, classic rock equipment and late 70s angst to create a music fitting a nu era. In the mid-80s, New York Jazz musicians similarly took their education, musical approach and instruments to another level by incorporating punk rawness to express their uncomfort in a society ridding itself from all humanness. Here I read the spelling Nu for the first time in Nu Jazz. With Nu Metal it was the same, transporting techniques and sounds of metal into a more and more technological world with less display of instrumental prowess and stardom, concentrating on the combined effort of the whole band to create a metal-ish wall of sound. Likewise, here the use of lush pads and combination of slower beats with doubletime on top uses techniques and ideas of 90s garage and drum'n bass, stripped down for a nu millenium.

Garage music actually existed before what we know as dubstep and chillstep. It is one of the genres that influenced dubstep. There is nothing wrong with the title really. The point of genres is just to find similar music. Chillstep is a very broad category; so, I can appreciate the uploader giving us more specific categories of music to look up to find the one we liked the most. Those are my thoughts on the subject anyway. Peace

I honestly think they should! As beautiful as the music is, I find it sad that an artist who spends hours creating such a magical piece is not appreciated, whilst some use their work and making money from using artists works, that very artist looses out on exposure and a form of income because of people who do this. If we are here to make this a place where everyone can survive why not help the artist that makes the background of your videos amazing
