Hello. Fellow Oboe/Saxophone player here and member of our jazz band. I would like to express my opinion that Oboe part for the "Friend Like Me" section is terrible. It just doesn't sound right, articulations are impossible, and the melody played by the oboe fits better with the Alto Saxes in part 3(transcribed or not). Oboe is NOT a jazz instrument, saxophone is.
