Gosh, it saddens me to see such a fantastic project like Putumayo not be as relevant anymore (to the main public, the real ones still listen to them). I was lucky to grow up listening to several of their albums, they do a wonderful work of curating music and they choose really really special music. I wish more people would appreciate them. They should start a festival. Maybe in different parts of the world, like Womex, but with Putumayo and their beautiful selection, I would attend! 😊

Thanks for the kind words. We are still going strong, but as you pointed out, its more challenging these days to be part of a mass zeitgeist. That said, keep telling your friends about us, we plan to be introducing people around the world to exceptional and diverse music through our playlists and digital collections for many years to come. A festival is a good idea and we have thought about it many times over the years. Hopefully, someday we can pull it off!
