My music tastes change weekly. Lately I have been listening to a lot of classic jazz like Modern Jazz Quartet. Milt Jackson was one of the best vibraphone players, if not the best, ever. Listen to the song Django and you'll see what I mean. A couple of weeks ago I was into bluegrass, a couple of weeks before that, classical. A couple of weeks before that, classic metal, etc. It constantly changes. I don't have a favorite type or artist. It's what is my favorite this week :)

You had two camps of music in the 80's: New Wave, like the song you said is typical 80's and hair bands like Mötley Crüe, Cinderella, Ratt. Honestly, I didn't care for either type at the time and listened to more classic rock. Even today I can only take hair bands or new wave in small doses.
