There are so many great big band drummers! I should have mentioned Chick Webb, Papa Jo Jones (from the legendary Count Basie band!), Don Lamond, Ed Shaughnessy, and many others!
I didn't mention Steve Smith, Ralph Humphrey, Tom Brechtlein, Vinnie Colaiuta or Gregg Bissonette, because they are so versatile, they sound really convincing and musical in any situation.
