Music Made with Buttons 1.0 - Egadz "What We Are Destined to Do

www.egadz.com For all button pushing purposes it is an MPC, it is tagged as such because of the style of buttons, but MPD is also made by AKAI. The same song could be accomplished on an MPC, since the main focus is on the programming, not the internal mechanisms.
The video is a second part to the original theatrical version of the real song. This is the reason why it is in the basement, and why the lights turn on and off. The real video can be found in the responses.
This video is absolutely live, there are NO LOOPS or background tracks. All sounds are programed onto the buttons and played in real time. ALL MUSIC WAS RECORDED SAMPLE FREE (EXCEPT PIECES OF A DRUM SMAPLE). Filmed with a direct in to the camera, no cut aways. This is EGADZ's reinterpretation of "What We Are Destined To Do". Directed by Patrick Guera.

Someone said that he is just pressing "pre-programmed" buttons and it's not impressive...? Unless you make music or DJ, you have no right to speak ill of of his skill. No matter what people say. This is actually a form of Jazz. Jazz introduced creativity and originality. That's why when I see Djs show up with just a MPC or Ableton Push and run the whole show just off of them and other sounds they have created, It's actually really impressive. Most djs I know will run on the fly. Very Creative. Even if it is electronic.

@Matya247 - My understanding is that if you are looking for a drum machine, then you need to look at the Akai's MPC line. The MPD24 is a midi controller. It does not have any beats in it. It is a tool like a specialized mouse used to trigger beats. The samples/beats are actually in the digitial audio workstation (DAW). If you just bought the MPD24, you still need to buy so much more before you are making music such as a DAW, microphones, monitors, etc. Hope that feedback helps. Mark

hes definitely playing everything, theres a feature on the mpc products that let you use simultaneous pad banks at once, he either has all his pad sounds stacked and synced or hes running a few triggered loops and just improvising everything else around this loops.

do you know how drumming works and how drummers have to have impeccable timing. he is basically incorporating the same skill and concept in the mpc. that's true skill at its finest, to you he's just pressing buttons really fast but i bet you can't even do a 1/5th of what he is doing
