I'm so glad to see someone geek out on Laila Majnu as much as I do. Among the movies that nobody watched, it has gotta be the best one. I strongly believe the first experience of listening to a song greatly impacts your impression of the song. After watching the trailer, my expectations were built up for the music of this movie. Luckily I had a trip to Kasol coming up just a couple weeks after the album dropped. I'm so glad I waited cause it was one of the most amazing musical experiences of my life so far. I immediately fell in love with the sound track but as was the case with Talaash's "laakh duniya kahe tum nahi ho, tum yahi ho", I knew the movie would give greater context to the lyrics. Aahista's "hota hai kal bewafaa, yeh aata nahi chal raha" still gives me goose flesh every time I listen to it. The process behind these magical songs is just as magical and it shows. Thank you so much for these videos.

Tum nazar Mein raho by Atif is my favourite track,the thehrao when he sings Annkhein bole aur lab pe khamoshi, it just hits all the right chords, followed by Aahista aahista the way song starts tum milo roz hi which is follow up to tum nazar Mein raho and when the beat picks up with hitting of drum, maine baat Yeh tumse kehni hai, it just shakes me up. finally O meri laila radio version, I just can't get rid of it from my head, it's also my caller tune. Also gaye kaam se sets the mood for movie for me, the way it introduced the movie, I was sitting in theatre, I felt assured, I made made myself comfortable and embraced movie with open hands. Also the bgm of movie cannot be neglected, the bgm which introduces hafiz hafiz is soothing.

Thank you for this video... the songs in this movie (as well as the movie itself) are criminally underrated. Thanks a lot for putting the effort to make this video. This movie means so much to me... In a way it sits with my most favourite three movies about love .. the other two being kimi no na wa and Millennial actress... The music in Laila majnu is so refreshing in that it didn't have that same permutation and combination of lyrics we hear in most songs now... the the instrumental tracks are just as good.. they enhance the mood and make you feel all the right things... again, thanks a bunch for the video.. To learn the thought process behind and the effort and care put in composing the perfect tracks for such an amazing movie means so much

I've always thought of the 2 "O meri Laila" versions as just one song... The lyrics complement each other so well... In the first one you hear "Majnu kahin na ban jaun main Laila..." and later that's exactly what he becomes... Goes all out in the second song

The orchestration of Ahista and the way the tempo build up is exquisite.i remember listening to ashita one late night and then on loop several time.
