Philip, thanks for reacting to Angelina Jordan again. This song became much more emotional for Angelina's angels (fans) after she dedicated it to her grandmother Mery Zamani, who had been battling health issues. Mery has been a mentor for Angelina and is a well known poets and artist (paintings). *Why Angelina always performs barefoot* At age 6, while traveling in the Middle East with her mother and grandmother, Angelina noticed a girl around her age standing on the side of the road, asking people to step on her bathroom scale to be weighed in hopes of getting some money. Angelina took off her shoes so as to not get the scale dirty and stepped on the scale many times to make the girl feel better. Angelina befriends the girl who was not wearing shoes and has scars on her feet, and learns she is an orphan. The orphan girl tells Angelina how beautiful she thinks her shoes are. Angelina says her shoes don’t fit her well and she wants to give her shoes to the orphan girl who thanks Angelina for giving her the shoes. Angelina asked the girl what she wanted to be when she grew up and the girl replied, “I want to become a doctor, but that will never happen since I have no parents and I have siblings so I have to do whatever is necessary for us to survive.” Angelina told the girl to never give up on her dreams. The poor girl asked Angelina what she wanted to be when she grew up and Angelina replied that she wanted to sing for the whole world. The poor girl said she would pray every day so Angelina’s dream would come true. Angelina still says she thinks of that homeless girl every day and has always performed barefoot to remind her of all the children who are less fortunate. At age 9, she became the youngest published author in Norway’s history by writing a book about this encounter in the Middle East. But if you want to see when she did it LIVE (which I think is even more phenomenal), check out her performance on an outdoor stage at the "Alsang pa Grensen" music festival in Norway last July 2022 (age 16). This is the same festival at which she performed several times between ages 8 and 12 before moving to L.A. In that color video, professionally shot by Norway's TV2 film crew, she looks and sounds like a goddess! You won't be disappointed!

Philip, it’s a foregone conclusion that Angelina is absolutely fearless when it comes to her choosing to cover any of the past and current greatest artists. She also does so with deep respect, admiration and reverence. What makes this performance so incredible is knowing that Angelina was sixteen years old covering a song that Whitney made famous when she was twenty-nine years old.

I have to say something about Angelina again. For me she is by far the best, even among some of the singers populating the internet at the moment. Her singing technique is the highest of all feelings. Because no matter who it is, they try too hard, some push until the veins in their necks come out. That's not good for the voice. Angelina doesn't force out her voice, she lets it flow. And that's what we hear, a voice that caresses its way into the soul. She can access her three octaves in her vocal range whenever she wants and 100% of the time. And that is voice art, that is true skill. When she sings, close your eyes and listen to what she sings. And what's more, is their language. You understand everything. Many reactionaries talk about how they never REALLY understood the lyrics, but only with Angelina do they understand the lyrics and only then do they understand what the song was supposed to say!

Personally I think she performed this song even better live outdoors on Norwegian television on June 23rd last summer, a month after this studio recording. My all-time favourite performance by Angelina is her cover of Lauren Daigle's You Say on her live Christmas concert on December 23rd 2021, when she was 15. You should really check it out. Sorry, but I don't know of any recordings of her singing at one year old. The youngest I know of was 18 months old singing another Whitney Houston classic, "I Will Always Love You". She explained 9in an interview that she started looking on KZbin at two years old for more songs. To summarize, she remembered the words and music to a hit song at 18 months and knew how to surf the web to find more songs at 2 years. Does that sound like a genius to anyone else?
