This whole concept is about EXO having doppelgangers of themselves (experiments) they are called X-EXO (made by the Red Force) in the MV, they are the more ‘’crazy‘‘ looking ones, and they are fighting each other. And the robotic sounding voices that you can hear, in the song are from X-EXO, or their so called sexy ego. Btw great reaction :)

I've noticed this happening a bunch recently, where people who understand music aren't finding the choruses right away in new K-pop songs. What is it about the "hook" (the R&B bit), that doesn't feel like a hook?

I think it’s just that some Kpop is being experimental with its structure, so the chorus isn’t always obvious in the first listen, and the hook(s) can pop up almost anywhere. For this song in particular, I think there are multiple parts that feel like hooks in addition to the R&B section, so picking just one on the first listen would be hard for me.

M D it’s so weird because people who are just casual listeners know which part the chorus is almost right away but musicians and professionals struggle to get it? are we just used to the structure kpop songs have adapted or are we just not noticing different cues that trained ears do that throw them off? imo the sample is the hook and the rnb part is the real chorus.... the i don’t think so one is the pre chorus.

I have been obsessed with this MV ALL DAY!! I stopped breathing! Damn Chen does it for me everytime!! Kai and Suho with those xylophone ABS. OMG!! Sehun is still so sexy to me in that mustard colored suit. Baek sounds and looks damn good in this MV. Chanyeol with the acapella rapping is soo smooth. But I did learn that they each have a super power that is expressed in the video. Maybe you guys knew that already. But, for those that did not know like me; Chen has a THUNDER superpower, Sehun has a WIND super power, Suho has WATER superpower, Kai has TELEPORT superpower, Chanyeol has FIRE superpower and Baekhyun has LIGHT superpower.
