That day of KZ's concert was the 27th anniversary of her parents. She remembered that she and her siblings had to have scholarships from a local politician so they can finish their schooling. On the day of her graduation in college, her parents gave her a college ring even if it was not a requirement as she was studying in a public university. She later found out that the college ring came fr her parents' melted wedding rings. On her parents' 25th wedding anniversary KZ and her siblings surprised their parents with a surprise wedding where they gifted them with a new pair of wedding rings. 😊 Btw, KZ said her grandfather was the one who taught her how to do the trumpet thing. That was not part of the original version of Close to You.

The original by Carpenters had horns in its instrumental too. KZ added some of her touch to this performance. She said her 'Lolo' or grandfather taught him that hidden talent. There is another video which is more stable than this one.. but I think it did not include her message to her parents. About the message: KZ went to a state university and did not require graduation rings, which are important to her parents. On her graduation, KZ received a graduation ring from her parents. She later found out that her parents' wedding rings were melted to make her graduation ring. So, KZ and her siblings gave their parents a second wedding as 25th wedding anniversary gift -- with new wedding rings too.

Anyway, going back to “valuing education,” she said she finished her college Supposedly without a college ring because they cant afford it. How important college rings are? i guess, to many, it is an everyday reminder of how precious college education is because you can see it always, Anyway, KZ had a biggest surprise of her life when her parents gifted her with a college ring. It took days or perhaps months before she and her siblings realized that her parents’ wedding rings were missing. And why? Because the wedding rings were “melted” and reused for her college ring, (hahaha i am having trouble recalling verbatim what she said but this was the essence of what she said). So, two years ago, on her parerts’ 25th wedding anniv, she and her siblings bought new sets of wedding rings for the parents, “
