V aka Kim Taehyung is 1 of the 4 vocalists in the biggest group in the world, BTS (and yes he's Korean). He's releasing his debut solo album called Layover on September 8th. He released another song/music video for another song called Rainy Days too. And we are expecting 3 more music videos. If you aren't aware the members of BTS are taking this time to do solo projects/albums until they all complete their mandatory military service in South Korea, but they plan to come back together in 2025. The thing is kpop does not necessarily mean "pop music" kpop is more of an industry that encompasses a variety of genres. I don't think you realize how famous he is, his name pops right up if you search V on google. Thanks for the reaction.

V - Kim Taeyung! Love your knowledge about music production but here are some things to think about. What is K-Pop to you? As a musician, you know that labels (like K-Pop) aren't really accurate. Boy Band? What does that mean? I see BTS and members as a group of Korean-born artists that don't fit the mold that most Westerners (including me, at first) assume they are. Lesson learned! In South Korea, the men have mandatory military service. The members of BTS are taking a hiatus from group activities while they enlist and serve their military duty. Before enlisting, each of the members has been releasing solo projects. This song is part of V's project, called Layover. V is also well-known by his real name, Taehyung Kim or Kim Taehyung as Koreans say the name since they say the surname first. The producer of the album is the producer for a girl group named New Jeans that works for the same company as BTS.

I was informing him that he was very well known. You assume a lot of things. V isn't even my bias, Jin is for his VOICE! I love BTS music, all of it. And I love all the members. I love how you mentioned how hard it is to be on top of search results in an SEO standpoint with a name with one letter, but amazingly enough when you type in V in google, his profile is the first thing you see, I don't think pages about the letter v of the alphabet even comes out in the first page of the search result (as opposed to other letters of the alphabet). Speaking of V the artist, he does have a number of tasteful music that he has released in the past if you want to check it out, he'll also have his new album coming out on the 8th of Sept from which this song is a part of.

In most cases V might be a bad name for search ability, but I just did a google search for V and he was the third thing that came up right under sci-fi channel and IMDB for the show V and right before V magazine which was followed by about 500 photos of the singer V everywhere from Paris fashion week, to the Cannes film festival, to a Las Vegas jazz bar, to his BTS activities, the show that he acted in and the shows that he wrote the sound track for. So I guess V is not actually such a bad name if you are one of the seven most famous people in the world.
