This song is like a requiem. It tells the story of how we live on the creations of people from the past, and how people in the future will continue to do the same.

This song can be interpreted in different ways but I felt this "story" involves everyone of us. Us as people, as fans, them as people and as a band. It also is about music. I wonder if there were so many more things that were going through in Saiki's mind when she wrote this lyrics than she let out. First there was a story (legend) that was already here even before we were born. But it could be unforeseen destiny. It seems so far and out of reach now but I can feel you by my side. "You" can be anyone or anything. When we are going through difficult time we reach out to someone or something to take us out of the darkness. Everybody thinks they know our story but nobody really know it because it's our own. When heartless remarks push you to the limit, don't hide it and scream for help, let me hear your voice. This part could mean how music helps us through rough times. You heard the tune for the first time and yet can almost feel the music close to your heart even if the composer of the song's long gone. That jazzy breakdown has the feel of uncertainty. The crowd cheering could've been placed after the following verse. Now it's about them as a band striving to get the recognition and want us to witness them going further. And they become the band to reach out to us with the music that help us and take us out of darkness. Don't forget they are here with us right now. Hope this song will stay in people's mind and be loved for hundreds of years. Nobody can stop us from going forward. We all want our existence recognised, we want more shining moments, we are alive and have unlimited potential. And will be guided towards destined future.

Zooty, it is good to hear from you again. And, with a Band-Maid reaction no less. From reading comments (during an interview) from Kanami and Saiki regarding Fobidden Tale, Kanami wrote the music question life with the passing of someone close to her (possibly her grandmother - rumors) and Saiki was doing research about forbidden music, songs, stories that now, with time, have become accessible. As @K.H.D710 stated that Saiki hopes that Band-Maid’s music will remain in people’s minds long after Band-Maid is gone. Kinda of deep, but, aren’t those questions all of us have. Thanks again.

This is not a love song. There are novels/art/music forbidden a long time ago but accessible now. Saiki, who wrote the lyrics, hopes that Band-Maid music will remain in people's minds long after Band-Maid are gone. "Singing loud for hundreds of years. We are here, without a doubt." Btw, this is not my interpretation. This is what Saiki said in radio/magazine interviews.
