I remember my older cousins putting me on Immortal Technique in 6th grade when I 1st started middle school. This song always sent chills down my spine, even now. I got excited to hear you guys listened to IM before. A lot of people never knew about them, just me and my Hispanic friends including my older cousins.

Actually a melting pot is used for diverse multicultural societies New York London to name a couple what he’s saying is there is no diversity because everyone melted together (play on the words) into the struggle to make it out everyone’s culture became the same meaning theres no diversity in it

I think the story is "true" in a metaphorical sense. I think Billy's mother represents the earth and humanity and the devil is human selfishness. "The devil grows inside the hearts of the selfish and wicked". When he says "I was there and I raped his mom too" I think he means that he's made selfish mistakes in the past and feels like he's taken some part in bringing harm to the earth and humanity and these mistakes, "the devil", follow him wherever he goes. He probably wrote this song because he sees alot of people around him make the same or worse mistakes, "he could be standing right next to you and you wouldn't know". Regardless of the interperetation, it's clear that he wrote this song for maximum impact, so that maybe someone who really needs to hear this message could wake up and realize that they're making the wrong choices.

For the melting pot verse, he means doesn’t matter what color you’re on streets yellow white black and brown you can die. We’re all in a burning melting pot. Struggling just to make ends meet. Like Ny, La, Chicago, Paris, Portland, and London a very diverse area but in the end there’s no diversity because we’re all burning the melting pot. P.S. the story he said isn’t true. It’s all fiction. A true masterpiece.

He is giving you the opportunity to expand the sadistic nature that every individual has or has a small amount of within the psychological make up within all of us. Is entering into the realm of the extreme wicked and let us linger there in a state of limbo drench in chaos. So we could appreciate what the universe or whatever God you conceive gives to us and made for us. It’s build the character of our fucking ethics. Instill faith in our morals. Absolute masterpiece

He didn’t fall of he just never signed to a record label he didn’t want his speech to be limit and Music industry wouldn’t allow his music to be played on day time radio. Think about it? What would be the consequence of immortal technique or Lowkey if they are played on daytime radio? He has been lecturing being involved with community he had donated money to an orphanage in Afghanistan. Check out his album The Martyr which he gave away for free.

It's not a true story. It's a story about how society treats women.
@sentpain83544 жыл бұрын
Hmmm no. It’s more of a story about how “ghetto capitalistic mental” can corrupt the minds of “feeble minded” children “with infinite potential”. Yes, it does touch on how these thugs treat women, but that’s not how *society* treats women. These people are not society. These people live in their own wicked world. Not society.

How places like Harlem can very easily make you grow into someone who’s heart has been inhabited by the devil. How fucked reality of these places can be. Sheds light on these issues people like William, who’s primary concern was making a million, deal with. A corrupted area that took over his heart and the system that let it happen. As he says to people who asks him if it was a true story, he says “no, but there’s always a billy Jacobs somewhere in every corner.”
