The sad part of the song is that the son had died. It is usually taken as the other members may be gone. Great reaction.

Gotta hear Red Dirt Road. The original by Brooks and Dunn, then listen to Cody Johnson’s acoustic cover of it. With that one you can really appreciate Cody’s love of country music and how careful he was with the song, making sure to do it justice and not just try to make a buck.
