A whole lifetime of collectables. My life has been measured by what I have given away. Two marriages and 7 sons. A lot of sports memories with my boys. Of course my job was not glamorous in any way. I ran a laboratory at a big chemical factory. You lived a great life my friend. Music looks to be a big part of your life. My records were my get away through out my life. Many concerts and later when I retired I created the Michigan Record Club. In fact, I have a record convention to do Saturday (with much help now due to my health). Thank you Mazzy for the wonderful tour. You are a good man. Bill

Very nice room tour. That was a impressive Beatles collection. I enjoyed the whole video and was really excited to see you show off that Dual CS 5000 turntable. I have that exact same one. Mine still looks and sounds as good as the day I took it out the box. Your the first one that I’ve seen in the VC have one. Again, great video

My ears perked up when you mentioned the Dual CS 5000. I just bought new, no kidding, never used, the Dual CS 708q. It is new in the original box, and everything was wrapped. I am amazed that prices for Duals have not gone up as much as other classic turntables. But, man what a collection of vinyl. My prize is my signed Ramones. I waylaid them at Vinyl Fetish in L.A. in the 80s at the store on Melrose and got them all to sign the To Tough to Die album. Thanks for the tour. And, I have subscribed.

Mazzy this is just flat out AMAZING!!!! Best music room/areas in the entire VC without question!!! You HAVE to have me over my friend!!!!! This is just wonderful!!! ....and thanks for working in "Godsmack" when you were talking about my video as they are my favorite band lol. Well Gobsmacked is close enough lol. Of course I did all the musical elements, but also the modern decor is beautiful my friend. Those prints in the kitchen really popped and that Bob S. Gold record given to you is priceless.

Mazzy, just wanted to say "solid" on the tour. I dig the way you combine your loves-graphic design, photography, music among them-presenting a picture that says "no regrets". I'm a jealous music lover on the East Coast, and hope you can find the time to enjoy(some of)your collection. BTW, I have a "now spinning" stand on order from the SF design studio you mentioned. Thanks for the heads up. Ok,now dig out a copy of the Clarke-Boland Big Band (lp or cd) "Music For Films"(?) and dig "Saxology". Swingin!! Thanks again...

Beautiful layout. My pad is an abbreviated version. You have great taste in music and room design! Love the Grace Slick portrait. I noticed in your CD drawers you still have the original issue Beatles. I still have mine as well. Haven’t played them since 2009🤓. But over the summer I tossed a few in my truck for road listening. They don’t sound bad at all. Loved the tour. When can I come over? I’ll wear white gloves🤓. Cheers!

I really enjoy and learn a lot from your vids. You have turned me on to some great jazz that I never listened to before. Real fan of the Tone Poet’s. I just was made redundant due to the virus so I decided to Take early retirement (almost 60). I have always dabbled in photography and would like to send you one you may like. I found a old community center ln rural Arkansas. There was a old upright piano in it on a stage. I borrowed a bunch of instruments from a antique shop and set up a a stage. I call it Break Time. I will send you a thumbnail if you would like. I just want to send you something for thanking you for your video’s. Mark

My father designed and worked on both the molds for the 126 film cartridges and the Super 8 cartridges. He also designed the mold ejector/release system for the 126 cartridges. I disliked Avedon’s (I think it was called) American West, where he went across the country w/an 8x10 and photographed average people. Basically, all the grunts did the work of setting up, lighting, posing, etc., while all Avedon did was trip the shutter. I know this because my mentor, Roger Mertin, (who was mentored by Minor White) conveyed this to me. Also, if memory serves me, didn’t Avedon use a Rolli for most of his work? I’ve been fortunate, I have met (and talked with) Larry Clarke, when his Teen Lust exhibition went up. Joel Meyerowitz, when Cape Light went up. One of my favorite photos, is by one of my favorite photographers, Lee Friedlander. Almost 4 decades ago, I did it as a living, mostly portfolios. Got bored and went and did something else. I’ve gotten back to it now. I got rid of the digital camera (I will get one again) and purchased a Hasselblad and a Wista 4x5. I have to say that the 4x5 format is probably my favorite. I did shoot w/an 8x10 Deardorff. I did it because my mentor used one, and I remember reading an article that when Pompeo Posar shot the gate folds for Playboy, he used a Deardorff also. It just got to be too heavy. The holders, 3 lenses, the camera. Just my thoughts, but I think Leibovitz, happened to be at the right place at the right time. I think Mapplethorpe, was heads and shoulders above her. I also think of Herb Ritz. At one point, I had a Revel Salon 2 speakers, Classé 600w mono blocks, Classé pre-amp, VPI Classic tt, (and the perimeter ring clamp as well as the ss record clamp) Lyra Kleos, the same Oppo, Cary Audio step-up, Rotel line conditioner. Had the Audio Desk record cleaner and the Furutech record demagnetizer, and static discharge unit, Onzow ZeroDust stylus cleaner. My record collection was divided by genre, then sub categories of genre (e.g. in classical; Baroque, impressionist, etc.) then alphabetical by artist, and then by timeline of artist’s works. My classical collection was primarily made up Living Presence, Living Stereo, Columbia 6 eye. I sold everything when I downsized and from my first trip to my friends in Italy. I liked a lot of your memorabilia. I thought the sneakers were kinda cool.
