Everything about child is just so relatable. No matter what the age is, we vividly have that feeling of wanting to go back to our childhood, because the older you get, the more responsibility you have. And it's burdening. I'm so grateful for Mark, really. I'm thankful that he released this kind of song with such beautiful messages inside. The song that everyone can relate and vibe with at the same time. Such a masterpiece for starting his solo career

Mark's a true artist; he was involved in everything from A to Z involving child. From writing the lyrics, creating different versions of the song, helping pick the title, having a vision for the music video, giving feedback throughout the music video editing process and even to picking the outfits. He was born to create music. Also his live stage always beats the original in my opinion, his voice is so stable. All I'm saying Mark's so talented, SM truly hit the jackpot with him. No matter how busy his schedule is trying to balancing 4 different groups, he always give 100% into every single group comeback. But even with his packed schedule, he always makes time to create music just because he loves it that much. That's the pure definition of an artist to me
@k-dragon31532 жыл бұрын
I honestly thought SM was going to burn Mark all the way out with the 2019-2020 schedule, so the fact that he's still able to stay engaged and express himself creatively is mindblowig to me.

This version of 'Child' is even more Mark Lee than the recording. We all can notice the difference right and when he's singing, he's rapping at the same time. Anyone else emotional watching this? I really love how Mark was honest about the process of making his song. It truly does fit him, but I like that he still considered other options & put careful thought into it. I just hope Mark is proud of himself and his work! I love how Johnny was also here to cheer Mark on and be that pillar of support, you know? Mark seemed to appreciate his presence & it felt like he was grateful to have such a friend interviewing him on something that of course is regarded as more personal and another step towards Mark's artistry. And speaking of which, I felt like I was witnessing something larger than just an interview, as cheesey as that may sound. I don't know, with how amazing Mark is, I felt like I was documentary or something showing one of the biggest artists and their performance from years back, reflecting and honoring just how much of an important time it was for Mark to have a slice of a solo career before he truly takes flight. I had goosebumps towards the end. It's just truly something special. We love you Mark.

For me "Child" was a song for those who had to grow up and couldn't live their childhood as a proper kid. The expectation of being a "grown up" while being still a child and having all these people surrounding you expecting you to be a certain way or wanting you to do all these things when you're just a kid. The pressure of having the whole world on top of your shoulders, yet, you're still a child trying to learn without any guidance and being stuck in a body of a child while being a responsible "grown up" when you're not even an adult yet. I felt that to the core because I couldn't be a kid properly and had to grow up so fast and had all these questions and felt so lost so many times. So, I was quite moved and so incredibly proud of Mark. His artistry is just out of this galaxy! Thank you Mark for showcasing this vulnerable and new side of you ♡

Mark Lee really is a superstar in the making. His 'soloist' aura is so palpable. You could give anyone a set like that and make them stand and perform in the spotlight alone, but if there's no talent AND charisma AND stage presence it wouldn't really make a difference. I'm so glad they talked about the process Mark had gone through in releasing "Child", it was such a great song. This made me feel like I have walked through that path Mark did, while he is also accompanying me on my own journey, as a fan and artist. Johnny and Mark just have a very natural rapport that the conversation went smoothly like I didn't notice the time. I thank Mark for allowing us to listen to this gem as it spoke to all of us, our inner child. I am so proud of him. Imagine what more incredible songs of him haven't been officially recorded yet. Looking forward for the next "child" and other NCT members' station.

having johnny as the interviewer is indeed an excellent choice. as someone who he is used to and has spent most of his early youth together with, you can see how he is really really comfortable with him. he is even excited to hear johnny's opinion about it because you know how despite the public reacts to it, it's always nice to know that people around you and close to you appreciate your personal music :)

Johnny must be very proud to see Mark climb so high, he was literally with Mark for many years, and seeing him fulfill his dreams, seeing him grow artistically must be something very beautiful and satisfying.

This has a cozy vibe somehow, like heartfelt, and Mark is really enthusiastic when talking about his song because he is more involved in what he's doing...kpop is okay but sometimes I feel artists have a hard time trying to express themselves only with group songs, so I'm really happy they're able to do solos apart from group activities, I hope Johnny gets the opportunity to release a solo song as well

We really don’t deserve such a kind, selfless, artistic, and talented person as Mark. I am just so proud of what he’s accomplished even though that’s weird to say since he doesn’t know me. You’re killing it and thank you for blessing us with “Child”, Mark! It is so you and Dress did such an impressive job elevating you and your story.💚

I don't think I've ever felt this in love with a song. When I saw mark was coming out with a solo I knew it was going to be good but not this good. Mark has such a nice voice and this song really gets to show off his talent. I love the message of this song too and I know he worked hard on this song and I hope he knows that it is very well appreciated by fans.
