Amazing vocal control, nice tone, beautiful runs. Could pass for Mariah's vocal male twin!!! Another artist you may not be aware of because they come from the other side of the world is also underrated and unknown too many outside of Australasia/Oceania. He's from NZ, is of Maori decent (indigenous New Zealand native), won Australian Idol in 2009. His discography is quite large, versatile and includes covers as well as originals. There's a fantastic series of songs he did that included a Backing Group called "The Standard" and a session band called "The Levites" (pronounced Lee-vites - named after one of the Lost Tribes of Israel). Here's a couple of those covers you're probably familiar with - Stan Walker Live With The Levites - Ultralight Beam (Kanye West cover), Don't Dream It's Over (Crowded House cover) Crowded House is an Aussie band from the 80s and the lead singer of Crowded House "Neil Finn" is also from New Zealand. Neil has a recording studio called "Roundhead" that Stan has recorded a few songs in. Anyway just thought I'd broaden you and your subscribers knowledge and showcase some of the talent out there that the music industry fails (deliberately or otherwise) to promote too the wider global audience. Looking forward to your reaction and analysis, There are a lot more artists in this part of the world that deserve global recognition. Hope you enjoy the ride down under.
