A masterpiece music reacted by an amazing guy. I'm from western Sahara in Morocco, We mostly have the same culture ( The music, clothes, tea and everthing is showing on the video). This music video is something that close to my heart because it always remind me about my culture. The thing I wanna say is that I always listen to it but I never understand the meaning of it, I can say that I fell it somehow. I watch alot music reaction but I never come across something like you did here, the way you explain their ideas and how you come across the details was something amazing. Thank you so much for this video, Love to see more videos from you.

No, Touareg Music is originally from Algeria in the great Sahara, maybe similar music exists in the Western Sahara republic "RASD" yet Morroco has no link with this music.

Touareg Music is originally from algeria? 😂 WROONG! It is from the Sahara desert. The Twareg are a nomadic ppl from all around the Sahara. They fought for independence from Mali and were crushed with the support of the algerian army at the time, This particular band is from MALI not algeria. The south of algeria is so neglected you might as well call it Mali. Modern algerian borders were drawn by france when they colonised the country. the real algeria is on the Mediterranean coast. This Music is far detached from actual algerian culture. Dont fool yourself.@@youcefkadi8979

The glasses seem to be a symbol of that particular person. I also just noticed how when he's riding off on the camel he's wearing a blue scarf - blue is the Touareg colour. He clearly passed away and that scarf and glasses are a symbol of him and his life and how it continues. The way the car lights are done and how they light up the people when they first arrive, then are used as 'disco' lights for a party is probably my favourite moment. Great analysis.

Indeed, the passage is clear. Didn't know about the Tuareg colour! I was wandering if there was more to why the glasses were originally found on a goat. Still pondering.

And yes I also love the desert rock vibes with the headlights used as stage lights - the QOTSA of the Sahara.

@@craytiveflow I spent some time on wiki reading about them back when i first discovered the band: 'The Tuaregs have been called the "blue people" for the indigo dye coloured clothes they traditionally wear and which stains their skin.' -wiki

@Craytive Flow, I want to register my appreciation for this presentation. As I live at the southern edge of Sahara, in Northern Nigeria, I am used to Touregs, but to understand their plight this deep, I owe it to your presentation. Though I am quite aware of the "rebellion" of 1990, but to appreciate their music in this deep way, I owe it to you. Its quite educating. Thanks Man!

If you would like to react to a new band, I would suggest listening to Aesthetic Perfection with their song Gods & Gold.

Thanks for the suggestion! Haven't heard of them before so it could be interesting to do a blind reaction.

Notice the big mistake that appears in the two videos of their new album! I bet Tinariwen is trying to talk a lot about the changes wrought by capitalism and globalization that are killing Twareg traditions and culture so much! Ibrahim Al-Habib always talks about this in interviews. The big mistake is the metaphor for the upcoming change towards Tenier! Tinariwen is trying to raise awareness about it through their art and their music, life in the desert is very simple but our world is changing and they don't want to deal with that change or at least they don't want it back home in Tanner Another song they talk about all these changes!🌹😥
