A visit to the Musical Instrument Museum in Phoenix, AZ, was an experience not to be missed. 3 hours wasn't enough to learn about music from around the world. #music #mim #phoenix #Arizona #travel

Awesome museum! Thanks for bringing us there. I can remember the old mail order catalogues; I had an old Eaton's catalogue from 1970 for the longest time. Moving so many times, I don't know what happened to it. Eons ago, I played flute in a marching band, and tenor sax in our high school jazz band. 😅 Now that I'm older, even learning guitar is difficult.

8:26 The organ from Perlee Amsterdam brings back child memory's. When I was five years old, people where dancing in the street during fairs. And such an organ was playing old dutch tunes. Ilma plays the accordeon, she started when she was six years old. And she will become 64 next year. After 58 years, she plays it very well. Thanks for sharing Deb and Mike.
@TrekkingwithDebandMike2 ай бұрын
@@Gelukkig-in-de-camper I would love to see a video of her playing.
@Gelukkig-in-de-camper2 ай бұрын
@TrekkingwithDebandMike Ilma wants to buy a new accordeon and it will have a keyrole in our vlogs in 2025. She wants to play a tune at the location where we are at that moment. For example when we are in Liverpool she plays a Beatle tune, or in Italy "O sole mio". Next year we will have plenty of time to implement the accordeon.

Well this is an interesting museum. Love the one from Missouri. That's really pretty. The Japanese ones are very neat to see. Some of those from Indonesia looks like pots and pans to me LOL. I'd love to know how many people actually bought an instrument from a door to door salesman. LOL that ham instrument is too funny. Great idea for a way to recycle. I can't play any instruments. I had no idea that Alice Cooper lived in AZ. Is Maroon 5 from AZ? Wouldn't have thought they would get a spot otherwise. I like a few of their songs, but they aren't exactly Elvis caliber, in my opinion. Gotta have Elvis. I mean, who doesn't know him? I'm not a swifty. What a great tour of the museum. We've been to AZ a couple times, but never have checked out Phoenix. Maybe one day we'll go back and do that.
